Really important to get something from this game even an attritional draw. Don’t fancy us away to Burnley at all. They will have too much organisation, desire and fight for our cowards.
Put your mortgage on 2-1 to Watford. Last 3 seasons we've lost 2-0 at the King Power and won 2-1 at T'Vic.
I would put my life savings on it but, alter the last couple of weeks, I don’t think I have any left!
According to The Times the 500th Coronavirus case, which will likely be confirmed today, will trigger the government to move the games to behind closed doors. No pitch invasions for you if this is the case you naughty buggers.
Says season ticket holders will be able to stream games for free. I'm sure all-round nice guy Rupert Murdoch will be only too happy to give something back to the football fans that have filled his bank account for decades.
I'm sure that will be organised in 48 hours. Hope the club have kept that season ticket holder spreadsheet up to date.
[Thred-Drift] When I was looking for that clip to "...throw some (totally deserved) shade..." (as I believe de yoot say) a @Filbert I came across this: Now, I don't have sound on my PC so I haven't heard any commentary but WTF are those first two mascots? A first glance the first one looks like a spliff or wrapped tampon (on later views I assume it's also wearing a butcher's apron so it might be a white pudding but still WTF?) and its running mate is that, and I'm being tactful here so as not to upset the sensibilities of certain posters*, a "...personal neck massager..."?[/Thread-Drift] *@SkylaRose, @I Blame Bassett and @wfcmoog.
Do we still have to email the ticket office to let them know if we don't intend to watch their stream? Don't want to lose my post-apocalypse season ticket rights.
Marathon not a sprint HH24,that's what I keep telling myself. Actually if your fund managers are competent you will be fine, good time to maximise your ISA before April. What time does Aled Jones start?
I don't have BT Sport or a ticket to the game! Whatever will I do? Are we still allowed to watch on the radio?
I think we need to cancel the league this season. We can call it a draw between all the teams. No relegation. No promotion. And certainly no champions. Give the FA cup to last years runners up
Whatever you choose to do I’m sure it’ll be legal and won’t involve pop ups advertising single milfs in your area.
Obviously for 3 reasons It’s a potential champions league decider It’s a potential relegation decider It has added spice of the historic Deeney moment Congratulations to BT for foreseeing all these to make it a game not to be missed. Oh, And to fill the quota.
If the game's behind closed doors and we all have to watch on TV, what does this mean for post-match discussion? Obviously the rule is you can't comment or speak negatively about the team and its owner unless you went to the game and saw it from only one angle. Will everyone become a bed wetting armchair fan who never goes to games and lives in Kent?
Imagine the uproar on the Muff forum if they decided the table now is final. Rest of the games void, and playoffs done mid summer....
If we go a goal down on Saturday, you'll see it for yourself. It's a bit 'old fashioned' to sing to "going down" to a relegation threatened opponent when you beat them (or take the lead). I do not recall a single group of fans singing that to us this season, certainly not at home. I know going years back this sort of thing used to be sung a lot, but not these days. It's seen as being a bit c*ntish. If I'm wrong about it, then fine, but I expect Leicester fans will goad Watford about their survival prospects if they take the lead. Having said that, the one thing that will probably prove me wrong is the Pearson factor, which I admit, I've overlooked.
You do realise the majority of Leicester fans have been rooting for yourselves to stay up since god (NP) took over
To be fair, this is the one thing that may stop them doing this. The respect for Pearson. You asked for examples. I didn't have to go back too far. Your last match. I've just watched the Leicester v Villa match, and yes, just as I thought, as soon as you scored, a loud chorus of "going down" was heard after every goal went in. You guys just cannot help yourselves.
This is gonna be a really tough game. We don't seem to fare too well against sides as aggressive as yourselves. If you make it a scrap from the first minute I reckon you'll stand a great chance of taking all 3 points. I'm really hoping and expecting big Nige to get a great reception from the travelling blue army but when the game kicks off we have to be on it. If I knew a draw would be good enough for us to maintain top 4 and for you to stay up I'd take it in a heartbeat. 2-2 Sarr Doucore Vardy x 2
If that's all you're basing it on you've got a really flimsy argument. We've got a bit of needle with Villa from the cup semi final so giving them a walloping was rather enjoyable yes. Also your lot played a video of the 'Deeeeeeney' goal the following season so jump off your high horse mate. Whats your thoughts on Pearson anyway?
They've always been like this. I can go back years. May 1996. You beat us 1-0 to send us down, but that win ensured you made the play offs. What did you do? Yes......all you were happy about was sending us down, with songs of "going down" after you actually did send us down. No real celebration by the fact you got into the play offs, only unbridled joy in the misery of others.
Make light of it, of course, pretend it didn't happen or make excuses for why it happened. Everyone time I see a Leicester match, the emphasis seems to be more on ridiculing your opponent rather than supporting your own team. This season, you sung "Champions of England, you'll never sing that" to Liverpool, and United. Ok, that's actually quite funny, but it's indicative of your mindset. There must be a severe inferiority complex amongst your fans. That's the only reason why I can think you'd rather attack the opposition first before supporting your own side. It's very strange. I've only spotted this behaviour, on a regular basis, from Leicester and Leeds fans during my 40 years of watching football.
Just two examples, both true. Just to show this is what you're like. From way back until the current day.
