Got to be honest with you, I'd have been pretty pissed off if we'd signed Ighalo. No idea what Man Utd are thinking. It's insane.
That is clearly ********.. If Pearson had said he wanted him, we wouldn't have wasted time talking to WBA etc. Or does the media genuinely believe we'd have asked Pearson for his view at 10pm on the last evening ?
A truly laughable window. Again. We are a couple of injuries away from being in big trouble, and how the idiots running this club thought it OK or wise to basically not touch a squad sitting 19th in the league, but who still somehow have a chance of staying up, is truly beyond me.
We ARE in big trouble. Our right backs are Mariappa and Kiko Femenia. Unbelievable we didn't sign a defender.
I completely expected us to be inactive and useless yet again, but I'm still pissed off about it. Just bizarre the way this club views and runs their recruitment.
Did you see the games he played in the year leading up to those 4 or 5 decent games? He was great before the injury, but there's no saying that sudden turnaround will continue and he's now out injured, so it's even less relevant.
The Jak? Is he eternally on loan at different random clubs around the UK? He doesn't look too bad on some of his movie clips, good luck at St M dude

Wow - I don't think I even knew we had such a player. Can you remember what time he signed? (He asks himself while hoping some last minute miracle signing will happen in the next half hour)
Ok, it's clear where we're light. Even in numbers central defensively we only now have 4 players. Of course Wilmott can come back for next season, but we do need an upgrade for this troublesome position. In a way, I'm not too disappointed we didn't sign Gibson. There has to be a reason why Burnley do not play him. I mean only 63 minutes of Premier League football in 18 months. That's extraordinary. He'd have cost us big money, as Burnley clearly wanted to recoup their outlay, which we quite rightly refused to do. Burnley have devalued the player by not using him. That's their fault and we should not pay through the nose when a player has diminished in value. Now we've kept our power dry, we should be in a better position in the summer to spend our transfer budget on revamping the defence. Of course we may go down, and everything changes, but if anyone thinks signing Gibson will make the difference from staying up or going down, then they're sadly mistaken. He wouldn't have made any difference to that, IMO. I'm quite optimistic with our attacking players. Gerri, Sarr, Pereyra and Welbeck are class players. Then we have a re-energised Deeney, with useful backups in Pedro, Gray, Pussetto and Penaranda. I've always like Penaranda and I think there is some real talent there. It's down to the current management team to utilise it for the benefit of the side. We have the possibility of Suarez and Hernandez next season too, so I don't really see the forward positions as a priority next season. Midfield I like, but probably we do need a good back-up keeper. Dahlberg is one for the future and I don't really think Bachmann is a solid number two. Wing backs on both sides need upgrading as does central defence. So, providing we stay up and retain the players we want to, I don't see major work needing to be done in the transfer market next season. Maybe 4 players only.
As long as Pearson continues to get a tune out of the likes of Chalobah, Masina and Femenia then we didn't need to buy anyone. Can only hope he turns Pussetto and Welbeck into undroppable options.
Kwasi Sibo is on loan at UD Ibiza. Michael Folivi has had an operation and returned from AFC Wimbledon. Williams Velasquez is no longer at JEF United Chiba, loan ended on December 31st. Filip Stuparevic is no longer at FK Pribram. Giannis Sourdis was sold to Udinese in 2018. Jorge Segura and Williams Velasquez should have loan moves confirmed soon. I believe non-league sides can make transfers outside of the window meaning u23 players may still go out on loan to sides in the National League and any divisions below that.
