I’m not overly fazed by this. It’s not the end of the world if we lose, I suspect from now until the end of the season we will lose a few and maybe drop back into the relegation slots. It’s how you bounce back which defines your season, not the loses themselves.
Watford must never ever never ever play for a draw. So endeth the gospel. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk
Deserved to lose, Villa the better team. Jack Grealish the best player on the pitch today. Mariappa is so terrible, I've said repeatedly he must go. Pusseto looks pretty shyte and lightweight. Pereyra was awful. Pearson got it wrong today, I feel the Kabasele sub sent out the wrong message and confused the back line in regards to who should be going for what which leads to the last goal.
Last kick off the game, in the 95th minute, with an assist from a player who shouldn't even be on the pitch Yet we still only have ourselves to blame, massive chances to kill the game either side of half time after our first goal, yet we didn't take them As much as it would have been frustrating to draw that, to end up losing it is horrendous. We went from 16th and 'clear' to 19th and right back in the mix in the space of 30 minutes That was as big a loss tonight as Bournemouth was a win
That was like a Flores performance. We lacked all the intensity we have had over the last 7 matches. We looked half the team without Sarr. I just don’t feel like we ever looked that up for it. Never mind, still plenty of the season left to play and we will bounce back.
It was bound to happen eventually again, I don't think it's worth getting too worried. Shows how important Sarr is, Pereyra is absolutely awful in comparison. The fact we're actually in a relegation battle and not relegated is more than we could have hoped for.
Disagree on Pussetto here Squib - did more in his 20 minutes than Pereyra in the whole game. Got stuck in well.
Also, Andre Gray is total and utter tripe. I refuse to believe that Pedro, Dalby or my Gran couldn't do what he does. He offers absolutely nothing right now, he doesn't even resemable a footballer. The utterly basic requirements include being able to make a five-yard pass, what was that to Deulofeu!? Time and time again he has demonstrated a total inability to do the basics, the absolute fundamentals required from a Premier League footballer. I don't care for another opinion because it will be wrong, Andre Gray being **** is now a matter of fact. GET RID.
End the game with Gray, Mariappa, Dawson and Deeney on the pitch, and wonder why we look like a Championship outfit. Ah well, it was bound to happen sometime.
Literally feel sick. Confidence surely low again after that! I know it's close down there and we are 2 points off of Brighton who are 15th, but Bournemouth and Villa have both picked up massive results tonight and will be buzzing! How can we let two goals in against a team that didn't even have a striker on the pitch? Typical Watford. Pathetic.
That stings. Pearson taking off Chalobah was a mistake. Pearson going 442 by taking of RP and bringing on Gray was another mistake. We lost all control in the middle and bought all the pressure onto us when things were going alright up until that point.
Very disappointing but only got ourselves to blame, will just have to go on another run of 6 games unbeaten!
Massive loss. Impossible to overstate the importance of not being able to hold on to a point. Still we have Pussetto and Mariappa is still a regular so all good in the world.
Gray was a terrible waste of a sub when we needed bite in midfield. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk
I love Pearson for everything he’s done for us. But to bring on Andy Gray for a bet, or a joke, or whatever reason he would have to bring such a terrible excuse for a footballer on the pitch, is almost unforgivable. If you bring on league 1 footballers in the premier league, you deserve to lose. Digging holes for the sake of digging ourselves out of them is not a valid long term strategy.
The ref has an awful lot to answer for. Mings handball to stop a clear opportunity, 94 mins gone no whistle, and that challenge on Masina looked suspect, though want to see it again.
Sickening. Thank **** I didn't go to that. I can't imagine what that journey home will be like. They deserved it. Seemed to want it more than us. We had started to believe all the hype, this will hopefully focus minds. I just wish the Everton match was this weekend.
The result was probably about right we never got going in the match. Took the lead against the run of play and their 1st goal was coming for ages. I’m not going to blame any one player for this loss but Pereyra today was absolute toilet. Yes we missed Sarr badly but Pereyra didn’t do any of the dirty work to help out Mariappa in the first half hence Deulofeu switched sides then their 1st goal comes from him not putting a tackle in. I think the subs killed the game for us. Pussetto should have replaced Pereyra and Gray should have been left back in Watford let alone come on. He is by far, the shittest striker I have seen in a Watford shirt. A 5 yard pass to put Deulofeu in on goal and he completed hashes it. Because he is so crap Deulofeu has absolutely no confidence in his ability and when he finally gets in a good position he doesn’t get passed to. We have had a great run and if we can win the majority of home games and get what we can away we will be fine.
I'm being a bit extra negative because of the nature of the defeat. We will be okay, we will stay up. Like @Relegation Certs said earlier, I almost wish we lost to Spurs so we got that stupid unbeaten run thing off our back. Today almost felt inevtiable. Especially with us beating Villa only three weeks ago. Minor blip today, we will beat Brighton and drag them further in.
