That’s 3 managers now who haven’t preferred Foulquier. I think by now we have to accept he’s not a better option.

Femenia is playing as bad as people are saying. But I don’t think he’s actually as bad as that. He’s just playing far far below a level that we know he can achieve.

If we can't score goals with that 11 then we are fooked.

Familiar story - we could get in to loads of excellent positions and rain in hundreds of crosses, but if the only target in the box is lard-arse Deeney standing at the bus stop then what's the point?!

I think he only touched the ball once in the last 25 minutes, and that was a lame effort towards the end in the goal-mouth scamble.

Anyone thinking he'd be our saviour needs their heads examined. Get him out the club asap.

Shocking decision not to give the penalty. Arm around the neck of Deeney. Two minutes later same offence merits a free kick. What is the difference ?

Vastly improved performance. Kiko was excellent as was Kabasele. Masina aside from the outstretched leg and Sarr top drawer. The pleasing fact is we created chances with Deulofeu and Deeney combining and Pereyra pulling the strings. The sad thing is we have not come away with three points today which we thoroughly merited.

Zaha is a cheating so and so and lucky not to be sent off again. Petulant spoilt brat who thinks he is better than he actually is.

Deulofeu continues to pass the ball to the keeper.

Sarr is the only bright spark, but what's the point of having him on the wing with no one for him to link up with or cross to?

Deserved to win that I thought, but it's the same old again with not converting chances.

Cahill's challenge on Deeney was a clear pen, well done VAR again.

Just beggars belief that Sarr wasn't played up until now. Our most explosive player and scares their fullbacks meaning they can't maraud upfield like they were free to pretty much every game earlier in the season.

    We're still going down.

    Who's ready for Liverpool away?

Should’ve won that. Would’ve won it if that gold plated chance towards the end had fallen to anybody else other than Andre ******* Grey.

Clear pen as well, var totally pointless.

  14. Every time I see Atkinson he gets worse, a shockingly incompetent referee

How many more games does it take before someone at the club realises Gray should be nowhere near our team sheet

We were down a month ago so the result today hardly matters, but I hate not beating those gypo ****s

Shame Sarr wasn't given a run of games from week 1

If some of the crosses were better like Deulofeu's late free kick, Sarr's effort in the first half then we might expect better. Deeney brings a lot more to this side than just trying to score. Neither is he match sharp or fit yet but as usual lets all jump on our own players. I suspect Kiko might escape the usual lambasting he gets on here.

Much better performance today, plenty of fight and spirit. Great chance for Gray at the end. Maybe unlucky not to have a penalty for the foul on Deeney, who apart from that wasn't up to much.

Sarr played well, as did Masina and Kiko.

The more games like these pass us by, the more its likely we're gonna have to pull a few big results off against bigger teams to stand a chance.

Should have been Success. Gray needs to be shipped out. Powder puff striker. Send him to Hull and part exchange with Bowen. Pearson, Shakespeare and Walsh might be able to get players like that interested in moving here.

Much more attacking play than under QSF, we're still bloody useless in front of goal but at least there's something to miss now. I was worried about Kiko vs Zaha before the match, but actually he played well today. Although I think Capoue gets in Zaha's head, effectively ruling him out of the game. Doucoure is still concerningly poor on the ball though.

Also Cathcart's booking was nonsense, that was a great tackle! The Palace player was too slow, booted Cathcart and then rolled around like he'd been ran over.

It's been the same ever since we've been promoted. In a squad of don't give a ****'s, he's one that actually does. Give me that over ******* Deulofeu and Doucoure deliberately running at half speed.

Thought Kiko was very good today, kept snapping at Zaha.

Defensively Kabasele and Cathcart were excellent.

Palace came to frustrate not sure how they're top half.

    Atkinson's a ****, clear foul on Deeney

    0-0.

Not ideal as we needed the 3 points, but it's a point closer and gives Pearson something to build on. Let's not forget Palarse were on fire away from home in 2019 and we didn't give them a sniff. Looked solid throughout and had a few chances to win it! The story of our season, we don't have anyone up front to tuck them away and VAR has f**ked us yet again! That foul by Cahill at the end on Deeney was a stonewall penalty!

Doucoure still gives the ball away constantly.

Sarr was a menace throughout but needs to work on his crossing/decision making.

Femenia and Masina were excellent. Deulofeu did well in bursts but goes missing too often!

Foster didn't even touch the ball.

Mullins did well in his short spell in charge, he's given Pearson something to work with.

    Onwards and upwards.

why? would Success have ran 60 yards to get into the box to try and score?. I don't think so. You want him to be the hero with 12 mins on the clock or ship him out, when the previous 78 mins we failed to score. if he's powder puff what does that make the other strikers?

I could say shafted by the ref/VAR again but we created enough half chances to win that game. Palarce were nothing special and had Deeney not
been asleep we would have won. Delafoo also had a good chance at the start of the SH but fluffed his lines, these are the sort of chances we need
to be working the keeper from. Defended well overall and deserved at least our point, but draws are not going to keep us up. Wins are. How do you
    get wins? You score goals.

Feel for Mullin's as he couldn't sign off on a victory. Technically that was Pearson's first real look at how we play. I wonder what positives (if any)
he can take from the game. At least no red cards were brandished although how the hell Cathcart got booked end of the first half I'll never know.
Could of been a few reds on another day. Zaha his usual diving cheating self.

Not a great game, the right result in the end but we cannot keep not scoring especially at home. It is getting beyond a joke now, I really hope
Pearson can sit them down tomorrow and go through what he wants to do with the side. We have what we have till January - so we must
cope the best we can. A more confident Watford would of won that today - I can't blame the officials really as we had enough chances to win.

We are going down... we are going to get slapped next week. It's a right off. Need to think about the game after. Disappointed today.

the subs took too long shudve come on around the hour mark. Delefeo, Deeney, Sarr, Gray all on the pitch at the same time we may have created a few more chances with 1 of em going in.

Capoue giving him a wink and a smile after getting booked wound him up more than a man in a bee costume. ;)

Other than a few months at the start of last season Deeney hasn't brought the side anything in at least the last two years. He's also only been "match sharp" for those few months as well over the same timeframe.

Chelsea are afterZaham for some crazy amount of money
It wouldn't have fallen to anyone else as nobody else in our squad runs 60 yards to get into the box off the ball, they don't have that instinct, or in Deeney's case, pace.

Here's a positive: Our first clean sheet in Pearson's first (half) match. Small thing I know, but if we can get ANYTHING at Liverpool on Satuday
it would be awesome. Yeah, but you never know.
