Well... a new season has started and it looks as if I was right. The wheels have well and truly come off at Watford. Those narrow 2-1 and 1-0 victories that were sustaining you last season have dried up and the average ability of your squad is being exposed. I expect a tight game today, new manager bounce etc... 2-1 either way I would imagine
At least we can expect goals today. Games between us and them in the past have rarely been in short supply. I still think having Pearson watching on will give the lads a confidence boost - they will want to impress him. Actually, considering we have Liverpool A next weekend.... maybe they will play extra crap to not get picked for the starting 11.
We're going to start well, play some nice football, maybe even go one up. Half time comes and goes. Second half, Zaha is absolutely buzzing around. "Whatever was said at half time certainly seems to have done the trick!". He destroys us, 1-1 through some farcical VAR scenes then 2-1 on the 82nd minute. Boos ring out, Pearson is snapped in the stands looking even angrier than usual. I'm sorry, but this is how it goes. It is written. We do, however, go again. Coyh.
Exposed? It was exposed the end of last season not this season. We knew the limitations of our squad since promotion and unless the right corrections were made in the areas that needed amending, this sort of season was always on the cards. Our board are largely to blame for this capitulation, but the players who still have ability, need a kick up the arse to at least try each week. Hopefully with no nonsense Pearson at the helm we can at least go down fighting. Today will be a tight match I agree, but it will come down to whoever wants it more I guess... or a pieces of individual brilliance.
I hope Mullins tells the lads the starting 11 early enough to get the Zaha fouling rota sorted before kick off.
Will be there in spirit. Mullins made some encouraging comments about attacking them - which will make a change. As their defence is as shot as ours, the only way to get anything out of this game is to give it a go and keep the ball in their half. Let’s see how he sets up. If he’s bold he could go out with a bang either way. I’m feeling ultra optimistic for some irrational reason. 3-1 Come on you Orns.
Difficult to see a win today. I don’t think there is much to choose between the teams, but they are on a massive high and we are the opposite. 1-3
It’s my favorite time of the week, when I’m able to stick a little money on our opponents and begin thinking about how I’ll spend my latest windfall.
You might win a fortune next week then..... what are odds of us winning? Have they been pre announced by any bookies?
I imagine Pearson will be in the stands today so the players will want to impress, 2-1 to us. Masina to score a screamer.
You'll be losing at half time but Nige will come into the dressing room and chin anyone he can get hold of. A battered and bruised Watford will the rally to a 2-1 victory out of fear for their lives. In all seriousness I'm not sure where this bullying tag has come from. The players loved him at Leicester, even the ones getting limited game time. His media persona is a different matter. He hates them
Palace have won 10 of the their last 17 PL away games, and we haven’t won at home for 11 games or is it 12. This isn’t going to end well.
Those are exceptional records for both clubs though, the law of averages suggests they should end this afternoon surely?
Line up is about as strong as we could hope for, on paper at least. Rather have Success than Deeney, but at least it's attacking. No Hughes is always nice, too.

Janmaat injured, Folquier is obviously shocking in training and trust me you don’t want to see Mariappa at right back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
the only logical answer to that question is **** Knows perhaps he will come good and not **** it all up, or do us all a favour and get a 10 game ban for taking out Zaha
Femenia is definitely the luckiest man in football. The worst right back I've ever seen at Premier League level but somehow starts game after game after game.
Not a bad midfield. Preyera back alongside Sarr and Delafoo. Hopefully he has improved since Wednesday. I am not expecting much from Doucoure' but he will need to stand up to the task especially with Pearson watching from the stands.
Happy with that line up. Again it's a positive move from Mullins. 3-1 win today. Come on you ornnnsssss!!
Foulquier played in a Getafe side that finished 5th last season. Played most of it at RM but has been a RB predominately in his career. Surely he has to be a better option.
