He’s instantly gone to the 4 central midfielders formation. Cleverley is such a Flores player, and to be fair the same can be said if Hughes, in that both offer work-rate over quality. I’m guessing it’ll be a 4-4-1-1 with Geri behind Gray. Hard to see how Kiko plays ahead of Janmaat, but who knows what we’re going to see today. If Javi picked this line up, he’d be crucified, and rightly so. Quique gets a pass because it’s his first selection, and he will have a game plan in mind, but if we’re as poor as we have been recently with this exact line up, Flores is in trouble.
Scarily little in the form of striking options right now (I'm assuming Welbeck has to be injured as why would he not make the bench otherwise) I like Gray but if he's not working, where do we go?

Flores has gone defence first, we knew he would. I hope Sarr is given a chance, hopefully before the game is lost. The fact that 2 managers have not started him suggests that he is some way from nailing down a starting position, and therefore the money should have been spent on the defence.
