L Great player. Unfortunately gave away those pens in the semi and the final of the playoffs. Although given his assist to Vydra in the semi; plus the pen in that game being super soft and leading to the best moment if our history, I'm prepared to let him off. Miss the beard too.
"Into my heart an air that kills'. I don't feel very well at all and I can't believe the season has started yet. Clearly the team agree.
Best I unleash Tyson , Bruno and Ruiz ( used to be called Joshua ) from the cages if there’s a dog fight in town . Down by the canal , usual time yeah ?
If FIFA in their wisdom abandoned the penalty shootout in favour of pro am fighting, it is odd to think WFC would be unbeatable. Troy & AJ would take anyone down.
Biggest objective is to just stay in the league this season. Screw pushing for Europe, we just need to keep our Prem status. Exciting times ahead with young blood like Pedro, Cucho etc, coming back next season. This season is nothing but keeping the Prem cash flowing.
Exactly. Then next season we can consolidate and hopefully look to push on to Europe in 5 or 10 years time.
It's ok, apparently we're leaving Europe after Halloween so no need to worry. Even better news, if the Pozzos have their cash in Euros and the pound keeps tanking we'll be richer than Man City by Christmas. Might even afford a new centre back by 2023.
I’m pretty sure neither Cucho nor Pedro will ever play for us at the Vic. Cucho will stay where he is and Pedro will be one of those ‘one for the future’ signings that dissapears somewhere in Italy.
Pedro doesn't fit that profile at all, if you consider his much the club has promoted his signing. The only barrier for him will be work permit.
Unless something dramatically good happens we are very likely to go down. We are already 9 points worse off than last year and it will be 12 if we lose to Newcastle - even a draw there leaves us 10 points worse. That means the 50 points we got last season is already down to 40 or 38 unless we outperform last year for the rest of the season. I am not hopeful we will even match last year's results. Same applies to the previous two years where we only got 36 and 39 points from here on - and that falls to 33 and 36 after Newcastle. The question is what to do about it. We have to be about 50-50 for relegation already and that would mean disaster for this squad which we have built up in four Premiership years. The Pozzos must know that they have to stop the rot immediately. That means Javi has to change or be changed - which do you think is more likely?
I don't mind the bad start, makes it quite exciting in a way. It's easily early enough in the season to nip it in the bud & Pozzo's have been in this position before dial up internet was thought of & 'Nervous Nath' was probably still in his fathers ball sack. When Welbeck & Sarr start igniting in a few months, regardless of who is head coach, the story of the season will be written in terms of a beautiful turnaround.
@NathWFC Thanks for your middle aged man put down! Surely you must have even better GIF's in your saved items?
So true. When you know in your heart your owners are invincible superheroes bad starts are great cos you know you are gonna get that great ending. #pozzocult
Yes our last four seasons have all ended on such a positive note. No need to get any points in our first six games - we only need a 32 game season.
Can teams like Norwich stop winning games they have no right to? This is not helping us one bit. Mods - I'd pin this thread, think there's a fair chance it'll be needed for most of the season.
