I’m hoping for another happy day to rank alongside the one when Marco Silva was delivered Zeegelaar and Wague at the same time by the recruitment team.

I’m by no means ITK about most (if any things) - but I do know this and accept that I cannot prove it. But hopefully you guys know I’m not one to make unscrupulous stories for no reason... Gino and Giraldi met with the Rennes President/owner in a Central London hotel yesterday to discuss Sarr. The Rennes President also met Edu and a delegation from Arsenal, presumably about Koscielny.

Talks between #AFC & suitors continue in a bid to resolve Koscielny’s future. The 33yo captain does not anticipate playing for the Gunners again #SRFC 2:23 am - 30 Jul 2019
Yep. And Gino et al were at the same venue as witnessed by a colleague who was holding a meeting in the very same hotel. I trust in his word 100%. He has a big and broad interest in all football so knows more about it than most and certainly knows Gino by recognition.
Dear Tim Just a short missive to let you know you have the full support of the ITK network in this matter, and all available resources will be directed towards your efforts. This unfortunately means vital sources will be neglected in the interim period, and transfer notifications to these forum members will be sadly lacking until further notice. Normal service will resume ASAP. Under no circumstances can we have a repeat of the ITKJim debacle, as you well know. Tom, I urge you to cease and desist forthwith. As you are no doubt aware, ITKJim no longer posts on this site. Or on any other sites. I will leave you to draw you own conclusions. Kind regards Ming
Interestingly, Sky Sports have been reporting Watford's interest in Sarr for some time now, so I thought I would look at the Palace page on Sky Sports. No mention of Sarr on there whatsoever.
I think we've dodged a bullet. The main discussion on this thread has been about the fee and/or the likelihood of him joining not about how good he supposedly is. Probably **** so let him go to Palace.
Incidentally, what's the highest amount of posts we've ever had on a thread for someone who didn't eventually sign for us?
Talking of Sky Sports..…..I nearly fell off my chair. Sky Sports actually talked about Watford.....for the first time in their Transfer Talk programme, which has run three times a day for an hour at 9am, 12pm & 7pm since the 1st July. 30 days, in which every club has featured multiple times, apart from us of course. The anchor-man Tom White, even said we talk a lot about all the clubs in the Premier League on reoccurring themes, but we've not talked about Watford yet. Of course they started off saying about sacking managers and that Gracia is something of an anomaly being the only coach to have been given a new contract. They talked about Sarr and that we were hopeful, but it's been running since 3rd July when Sky Sports first reported it. They said Watford fans shouldn't be too concerned about how the transfer window has gone. They said the signing of Dawson for £5.5m was the signing of the transfer window. Getting someone that established for that fee, was "a fantastic bargain". They've managed to keep hold of their significant players like Doucoure, Deulofeu, Deeney, Chalobah & Pereyra. They said Watford are building something really good and "Watford are becoming one of the best run clubs in the Premier League" So, they were pretty complimentary, after initially being surprised that they hadn't featured Watford at all on their Transfer Talk programme before now.
Could it be that they haven’t spoken about us on a segment dedicated to transfers because we have done so little? Either way, we all know the ‘air miles’ on those kinds of segment are designed for them to talk about Maguire, Neymar, Pepe for the umpteenth time.
I guess they don't spend all day and night of their pitiful existence raking up Twitter 'rumours' in a desperate attempt to have meaning.
No excuse for no mention before now though. There's been 90 hours of football talk on that programme, and we've not been mentioned once before today. Every other club has had several features. It just illustrates that even a dedicated football programme that talks about absolutely everything, even giving time to create a free transfer XI, has to get to the 30th day of the transfer window and 90 hours in, before featuring Watford. We really are the lowest of the low when it comes to anything Premier League related.
I’d be interested to see if Burnley have had several features but I will accept if you say they have.
It's not what I said, it's what Tom While, who presents the show, said. There are examples of this all the time. Like the webpage SkpySports put out with all the kits except ours. They missed us out last season as well I seem to remember. How many of our games have been picked for TV viewing? The way MotD treat us and all the backhanded compliments and patronising remarks. I think it's abundantly clear, that attitudes towards Watford as a club range from being not very well liked to never noticed. I do get that to a degree, but I think media attitudes tend to go to extremes. We must be categorised as "Watford, the club no one wants to know anything about."
This deal will go through but only after the Pepe from Lille to Arsenal deal and Lukabiaki deal to Lille. Only then will we complete the Sarr signing. ETA Thursday pm. Maybe held back till the Friday for the kit launch. Obviously things can change but that is the timeline currently.
Interesting I was fully expecting the deal to have gone through by now. Maybe my page isn’t refreshing
Haha! Some background to it - I work in the music industry and we have often have high-level meetings in hotels and the like. Yesterday, a colleague, who is a football encyclopaedia (although he supports Bristol Rovers!) witnessed the above during one of our meetings which happened to be in the same venue - The Corinthia Hotel near Whitehall.
Great jokes have to be repeated 30 times before they become funny. Just waiting for GD to confirm this.
You can't catch me, I live in a cave in Antarctica. It's not great for transfer sources, but it is for anarchy.
