Any advice on how to prepare for this one? My main thought is to bring the sofa forward from the wall thus leaving space for one adult.
Have some sand paper and vocal cords ready when Warner/Smith come out? Least the game should start on time... https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2655603
Those long afternoons booing Holebas have perfected my technique. Looks like an apocalyptic downpour just when the first innings finishes. Tomorrow fine. Chasing might be more straightforward.
I am at my daughters sports day this morning. Is it acceptable to miss her race because I was checking the cricket score?
I think the odds reflect the fact that English always feel obliged to bet on England. Despite the fact that the Aussies have won the last 2 times we've played them.
The score from ESPNcricinfo will be up on the internet tab. I will try to only occasionally glance while getting on with work/posting on the forum. When it becomes clear we can't win, I will close the tab.
We've lost the toss and will be chasing a total. It's all over already. Nothing to see here. Good luck NZ in the final.
3 down now. 15% chance of winning ? 2 runs and 1 wicket from the last 18 balls Smith 1 run off 15 balls...but still in.
Recovering well now, up to 3 an over with the dangerous Carey played in. We need to keep their score sub 200 if we can as this surface looks dangerous and their pacemen will be licking their lips.
The Australians definitely batting like they think 200 will be more than enough. A lot will depend if their batsmen are able to open up in the middle overs against the lesser of our bowlers. I’d say we need another couple of wickets before they get to 100...
The wicket is very good for batting. Coming onto the bat nicely. Outstanding opening spells from Woakes & Archer. We should chase 250, 275 really.
Swinging about though and Archer getting real pace - Starc ?? We should, maybe, but we know we won't.
