No I think it was me - I remember posting that I watched The Dark Knight on my phone...although it might have been another game.
He accused the Watford fans of insulting his "Integrity" about his alleged move to Reading, then he promptly proved our point by joining them within a week of his protestations that he was not going to, hence the "Mr Integrity" title.
Well he was there last night sitting with the Chief Exec and the DoF. Put up on the big screens before the game he looked slightly sheepish but it was the biggest cheer that stadium has heard for months. I actually went last night having flounced off on a self imposed football ban for the last six months. I can’t believe how quickly the club has acted and considering the last four appointments were; Pearson - Had already managed us Ranieri - Unfashionable, damaged goods Shakespeare - Easy option, terrible choice Puel - Sticking plaster dressed up as a long term squad builder I think this shows great ambition and it’s terribly funny that Celtic are so upset about this.
Here's the full transcript of what Rodgers said when Reading wanted him. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/4387574.watford-boss-im-a-loyal-hornet/ Then there is his stance on the lack of loyalty in the game. https://fusion.tv/story/114668/brendan-rodgers-loyalty-raheem-sterling/ Who can forget his commitment to Swansea after signing a three and a half year extended deal, only to leave for Liverpool 3 months later. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/16957508 Look how excited he was when he got the Celtic job, a club he's followed all his life. https://planetradio.co.uk/clyde/sport/news/celtic-appoint-brendan-rodgers-new-manager/ Now apparently he will "give his life" for Leicester, just like their owner no doubt. https://www.football365.com/news/rodgers-i-will-give-my-life-to-make-leicester-proud I see Gary Lineker is not quite so scathing over Leicester sacking Puell and appointing Rodgers in less than 48 hours, which was the very thing he attacked Watford about. Funny when it's your own club the rules are somewhat different. Gary LinekerVerified account @GaryLineker 13h13 hours ago Gary Lineker Retweeted Leicester City Great news. Terrific appointment. A warm welcome to Brendan Rodgers.
He certainly seems to rub people up the wrong way. No doubt I’ll be on here in a couple of years calling him a **** for joining Everton.
I’m under no illusions that we’re a stepping stone for him to get to Chelsea, probably. When it happens you’ll probably get a few laughs off 90% of Leicester fans losing their minds.
No he didn’t. He accused the ‘people’ of insulting his integrity by linking him to the job. I doubt very much that any fans asked him at the time so he would clearly have been talking about people within the game and the media. I don’t like the guy but let’s have the facts right.
Didn't he sort-of apologise at one point for his behaviour over the move? Certainly more than the Snake or the King Of Bantz Mackay ever did or will do.
This is correct. I can't now find a reference to him saying he wouldn't leave us and linking that to his integrity. I guess the question would be whether at the time he said what he said in the article, he had actually been talking to Reading. There's no proof that he had, and the article HB1 linked robustly denying any communication with Reading. Perhaps he's not a git after all ?
During the period 23rd February 2017 to 26th February 2019 Leicester City have had 6 different managers. Claudio Ranieri, Craig Shakespear, Michael Appleton, Claud Puel, Mike Stowell and Brenden Rodgers. Have the media made a big deal over this? SIX different people in charge in TWO years (and three days.) Even last Saturday Lawrenson had another dig at Watford for chopping and changing managers every 5 minutes, so that stick to beat us with is still alive and well. Since Gino Pozzo took over at Watford, during that time Crystal Palace have had 11 different managers, which is two more than us, but do Palace have the reputation for hiring and firing managers?
Brenda says he'd give his life for Filbert and his chums to be proud of his club. Until a better offer comes along, that is.
Well his appointment has come rather rapidly and has caught me unawares. I'm still deliberating whether a snorkel and flippers or full old time diving apparatus for the cup game is the order of the day. I suppose one more appearance may not go amiss, although I don't want to become typecast! I'll see if 'Marco' is up for a temporary name change.
Must avoid being typecast. Olivia Colman was doing nicely as the girl in Mitchell & Webb when her agent intervened. M&W taken off the menu & hey presto! 5 mins later she's bagged an Oscar. One last outing for Marco/Brendan with ideally M/B doing an Emu routine with the real BR on the touchline. Maybe Harry could hold him down for you.
The only thing which would cap these Sssilva & Rodgers matches is if Holloway was somehow i/c of Citeh when we go up there.

Saw somebody call him a crisp shagger that sh1t on a pitch on twitter this morning, made me chuckle anyway.
"I've just landed my dream job, the team I've supported all my life. Imagine me as a Celtic supporter having walked out on the job at Parkhead." Guess who?
