Blimey, how have you even heard of him ?
Does anyone know if he had a sister/relative called Tracey (no joke, I went out with a Tracey Fisken).

Ha! I’m slightly too young to have seen him but people still refer to ‘Goatsworth’ and the audible grunts he made as he hoofed the ball up and down the pitch.

What about the 10th most random ? I don't believe that would be the 10th least random.

Celtic could do worse than hire Mourinho when Rodgers leaves. Guaranteed trophies, lots of wins for the ego and still basically a year out of the game.

Edit: Or Marco Silva in the summer. Bet he'd still manage mid table mediocrity somehow.

The number of managers that we get through I'm surprised most clubs aren't managed by ex wfc managers. We are all that is wrong with the game.

Given that Chelsea have Zola as assistant manager, by the time we play on Sunday it would have been 4/5 home matches faced against ex-managers.

It's a shame Fulham got rid of Jokanovic as he would have got a warm reception.

So why is it you dislike him so much? He was with you before I started posting on here so I didn’t realise he was so unpopular. Did he say one thing and do another?

And if so, why is that so different to sacking managers like Flores who seemingly did a good job?

The issue was that Reading, in the same league as us where he had been the youth team coach (I think), were rumoured to be interested.
He was very vocal about how he would not be leaving to join Reading and that anyone who didn't believe what he was saying was questioning his integrity.
He then had a re-think and decided to join Reading, who sacked him a few months later.
    Hence the "Mr Integrity" name...

His first job in management was with us, he was appointed in the November of the 2008/9 season, after a stuttering start he finished quite well. Then in the following summer he was linked with a move to Reading; he said that he is committed to being the Watford manager and staked his integrity on it. He left a week later. He then did a poor job at Reading and was fired in the December of 2009.

It's only been 10 years, so it's not as if we're bitter!

I think it's mainly because we gave him his first job as a manager in football and for a few months he genuinely got some good football out of what was a young and pretty unspectacular group of players. Then less than half a year into the job Reading, another Championship side but a former side of his, came calling but he said he was "100% committed to Watford". Then he went a week later. He's since admitted he was wrong but it's the way he did it that grated.

Flores went because the behind the scenes stuff wasn't great. There was a break clause in the contract which he signed up to and that was that.

I believe the only managers that the Pozzos have sacked are Silva (which they did reluctantly after his loss of focus) and Dyche when they arrived.
    The others were simply;
break clauses in the contracts that could be exercised by either party (QSF & Mazz),
the end of a contract which wasn't renewed (Joka),
    resignations (GFZ & Sannino),
    illness (Garcia), and
"****, we have ****ed up and didn't really mean to appoint you for the last week so please take a year's salary as compensation" (McKinlay ex blackburn guy).

Cheers. I’ve heard it said that he’s one who wants to climb the greasy pole by any means. To be honest any kind of ambition is welcome after Puel’s stint. If Rogers does well, we do well and it’s fine with me! All part of the game now I guess.

In Rodgers defence, (again this is hard to type but from what I've read it's truthful), the stuff going on behind the scenes at the club when he was in charge was quite frankly shameful. We were actually playing some decent stuff and the lunatic in charge was selling good players at the drop of a hat, (a big ****ing red one). I'm sure he wouldn't have left but for that.

    Allegedly!

Brenda's first Watford match. We had a free kick on the edge of our opponents' area. One sideways pass and two backward passes, and the ball was with our keeper. Brenda was a big fan of "playing football the right way", which was by definition what happened when he was in charge

Javi now 11th longest serving manager in the Premier League. When the next one above him goes he'll be in the top half. He's 39th across all the divisions.

You may be wrong Diamond - but that was still hardly a golden period for the club really. Again, not defending Rodgers per se, but I still have a feeling that things wouldn’t have been easy as manager of WFC back then.

That might have been me. The one manager who I didn't like from the outset.

He brought in a 17 year old on loan from Chelsea before judging the players we had through his connections (did you know he was Chelsea youth team manager? don't think he mentioned it more than once a sentance), best buddies with Mourinho I think. Dropped our best young player so far that season for the 17 year old and was a bag of slime all season until his departure. We were playing a bit better by then but I was still ecstatic that he left. I dislike him far more than the snake.

Renowned for his dull crab style of football. He's a charlatan.

I heard a Celtic fan say that he asked Brenda for an autograph for his young child, at a club function.
He was very abusive to the chap, who was very taken aback.
