It’s because he spent the pre-game suggesting there is no other player like Zaha in our league and he should go and play for Barca or Madrid. Such idiotic comments that he had no choice stick up for Zaha at every opportunity.
I don't think we need to worry about what will happen when Delofeu / Chalobah / Cleverley, etc. are back fit. Given our experience since returning to the PL it is highly likely that others will be suffering injuries (long or short term). You can never have too many quality, versatile players in this league.
Drop Gray. Play Deeney up with Gerard supporting. He can swap around with Hughes during the game. Leaves the same energy in midfield.
Garth Crooks has questioned the referees decision to not red card Capoue. Garth as you know is never wrong, so it makes me question if i got it right and if we are a bunch of Neanderthal thugs? So i have to ask... Are we the baddies?
It's been bugging me for ages who he reminded me of when he pulls that look of indignation. Absolutely spot on Jossy, a brilliant observation!
Capoue has gone up in my estimation after that tackle Think he's now Watford through and through if he hates Zaha enough to try and ruin his career

Did Sky talk about anything else in the game ? Least MOTD mentioned about our good play etc as well as the Capoue tackle .
Hate the south London stripey Nigel's so a great win. Annoying number of empty seats, guess quite a few people away on holiday but needs a better system in place to make season ticket holders make their seats available for resale if they don't attend
A few years ago, when Souness spoke, I listened. Not now. He’s become another lazy pundit with limited knowledge of, & even less interest in, teams outside the top 6. In a mid table match, he clings onto Zaha as if he’s the raft of the Medusa. Zaha & Deeney are the only ones he has heard of. (StuBoy, please take note.)
Wouldn't be surprised if some just didn't turn up given the weather .. Tell tell signs will be if the stands are full for the next 2 games also on TV.
Tirade from the Sounessosaurus at half time about Capoue. ‘If you’ve ever played football...’ Apart from that the brains trust seemed to know more Palarse names than Watford ones, so they spoke about Palarse more. Harry the Hornet has broken the lycra ceiling & is as famous as Deeney. Beat Spurs & Jermaine Jenas will be tipping Harry for England mascot.
Fulfilling the WFC quota before the important games kick in? Media fascination in how a small, community friendly club is gamely taking on the Prem giants? The Sky producer lives in Gerrards Cross?
On MotD2 Chapman started quoting ‘the Watford Observer’! Shows how out of touch these media johnnies are.
Not sure Pereyra is getting the full plaudits he deserves. His composure on the ball is supreme & the speed with which he shot for his goal extraordinary. Virtually no back lift leaving the keeper no time to anticipate it. One of the most accomplished players outside the top 6.
Not just back in the day. At half time he actually said it was fine to do that! So yes, I think a hypocrite his the nail on the head.
We're on loads in the first couple of months and then not at all in October and November. Suspect Sky are regretting not moving our Liverpool home game to Sunday afternoon now, as it will almost certainly decide who tops the table going into the Christmas period.
Yeah to be fair our season tickets are on the front row VR stand....didn’t fancy sitting in the rain for 2 hours so hot bowl of chilli and glass of red wine in front of the TV it was. Sorry, not sorry.
Me and the kids went early to get faces painted and a balloon had from beside the GT statue. Got soaked. We all had a great day though.
Was the post-match analysis any good from Sky? I've rewatched most of the game and the half-time coverage was embarrassing: 15 minutes of Souness with his head up Wilfred "Good Enough For Real Madrid" Zaha's arse, berating Capoue for the tackle, and very little else.
Another great result and hard fought win. Aside the award header at the end we didn’t ever feel in real trouble and I thought the back four marshalled Benteke, Zaha and Townsend superbly all game. Kabasele my MOTM, he’s getting better each week. Thought Doucoure had a more effective game than in recent weeks. If you fancy seeing real Palace salt on egg & chips head over to see Steve Brookstein (failed X-Factor winner and Eagles fan) deliver his verdict on Watford on Twitter....Christ....

I can’t wait to see Palace lose at Bournemouth when Callum Wilson dives to win and score a penalty whilst Zaha gets kicked off the pitch and Eddie Howe is praised for being a true gentleman of the English game. I’ll then pop over to the Palace Forum!
