No brainer if Everton want Richarlison that bad they can have him, don't forget a 25% sell on clause though, just in case.
It's one or the other. A 25% sell on would significantly reduce the up front transfer fee. It's a no brainer to have cash in the bank I'd say.
I’d also imagine if it is £35m + £15m in add ons, if Gino had had a say in the add ins they’ll be pretty achievable.
I will be a bit gutted if he goes to Everton I think he is a bit hit and miss and goes down to easy but has a undeniable talent and would love to have seen his top form at Watford. Would have been less gutted if he went to a European club rather than Everton If we spent t£50 million on a striker that would probably easy my pain
I'm not particularly bothered that he's leaving, but I really wish we weren't selling him to Everton.
But seemingly nobody else is interested yet they’re willing to pay an obscene amount of money for him. If it was like the bad old days in our clubs history and we were selling him to Everton for £10m because we were desperate and they knew it then fair enough, but we’re taking them to the cleaners.
We're not even having to take them to the cleaners. We're making them hire the cleaners and fly them by private jet to their place.
Marc Navarro posted on insta not to long ago of him and Richarlison. I have no doubt that the rumours are true and Richarlison will be off for £50mil. However I would find it hilarious if Richarlison was to turn around and say he is staying because Everton is not a step up, which let’s be honest, it really isn’t.
I saw that too and just presumed the two clubs still haven't agreed enough to let him travel to discuss terms or have a medical. Then I thought maybe Gino could drag his heels, stretch the whole transfer out until near the end of the window and hinder Everton in the process. But now Richarlison has been identified as the one to go this season I just want it to go through so WFC can move forward. I don't really care if it helps or hinders Everton one iota.
This vow not to pee until we sell Richarlison could cause you physical damage. For gods sake man, pee.
I like the lad and I would love to see him get to the very top. But if he goes to Everton I want him to fail because I want the snake to fail. So I tend to agree, I'd prefer to sell him to anyone other than Everton. But £50 million is silly money that we would be foolish to turn down.
Richie, Gomes and Kiko were the only players who featured vs K*ln who didn't feature today. Not sure what the deal might be with Kiko (other than 2 other RBs needing some playing time), but perhaps Gomes has flown with Richie to help translate (and ensure that the dozy sod doesn't get lost on the way to and from the airports)...
Yeah and Doucoure is sorting out air traffic control clearance over France for the plane. Come on, Gomes (and Foster) missed out today because Javi wants to see his other keepers. Nothing more than that.
We should be pleased he's going to Everton. If it wasn't for Silva he wouldn't be going for anywhere near that amount to anyone else. Especially after his last half season's form. His work rate is not in question, which is an asset, but worrying to see him keep missing a multitude of chances in front of goal. Very good business & therefore not sorry to see him go. Realistic speaking international flair players like this would never stay more than a couple of seasons anyway. If only we took the 25-30m for Deeney from Leicester a few years back. You've got to take those kind of offers if they are well above market value.
I'm only OK with this if the bonus transfer money isn't dependent on Everton doing well. I don't want anyone at the club wishing for anything but relegation for that embarrassing, little-man-syndrome afflicted club.
I will say this. So many times a club has cheered a huge windfall when they sell a player with obvious talent, yet failed to reinvest wisely. If Richarlison's poor form was due to fatigue and we still had the player from early last season, then he will be exceedingly difficult to replace. I wouldn't have taken less than 40m for him, so unless we have a good chance of getting back most of the initially claimed 50m, I'd turn it down and tell them to do one.
£44m is the fee now being mooted by the Mail. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...gree-44m-deal-Watford-winger-Richarlison.html All agreed. Medical due on Monday it says.
Most sources on twitter are saying it’s £44mil up front, £7mil in add ons. As much as I don’t want to see him leave, for a total of £51mil, even with a breakout season we wouldn’t get much more. Supposedly it’s a 5yr deal at £105k p/w Everton will be the next Sunderland, Leeds, Villa if their not careful.
Amazing that a club is willing to pay so much in transfer fees and wages for a 21 year old when there are literally no other clubs interested in him. £105k a week for a player who has done nothing yet and has no other clubs offering him similar offers. Everton are a truly bonkers club.
Even if, and it’s a big if, Richarlison makes it as a top player in the future, this is good business by Watford. Forcing a moaning teen (well young man) to stay and sulk will only drive fans crazy and his value down. Invest the profit wisely and we are in better shape. Need goalscorers immediately.
