Makaton is the "foreign" language they teach at St Luke's (because of the national curriculum requirements). Monday evening was the school concert where an ex-pupil played this as part of a piano medley (with an impromptu signing by the school's head of Makaton).

Yep. Have basically overriden my brain for the last few days conceding defeat but I now feel sick, can't stop pooing and am already planning how to wipe away the tears, win or lose.

 

The team has already exceeded my expectations, so for me if we go out I'm not going to be too upset. They've dun gud already.

No pressure on them from me - may the boys go out onto the pitch, give it their best shot and have no regrets later.

 

Have a horrible feeling that the Paul Merson/female hybrid defender we were linked with is going to haunt us somehow - either game of his/her life in defence, or scoring from a free-kick/corner.

But I also thought we'd go out at the group stages, and that resting players for Belgium was a bad idea. Here's hoping my total lack of insight continues.

I agree and I would have agreed more if we were up against Brazil or a country of that ilk. You can't help thinking that because it's Croatia we should win, it's very much like in the Premier League when you play Crystal Palace at home, you feel you should win but then you have that nagging feeling that it's us and we screw it up.
