I agree. Go to the Vic these days and sometimes the bar is like a Phil Mitchell lookalike convention. Wind, however, is an issue for the combover.
Leicester now saying they want to offload Iheanacho and not Slimani. Young, tall, quick, zero goals. Sounds right up our street.
I think this means they will offload either to anyone willing to give them a good percentage of all the cash they wasted.
In the long run would be a better bet for us than Slim. He has hardly played for Lester. Could Silva instil enough confidence for him to start scoring again?
Not sure why Iheanacho hasn't kicked off at Leicester - he looked a potential world beater for City. Had a real poachers instinct.
The club might be waiting until the last week of the window to see if more injuries have cleared up. I'd imagine this month will only be loans to plug gaps, plus we don't want to commit to players on long deals when Silva will most probably **** off in the summer.
Also meets the "Going down" transfer requirement of being an "Arsenal superstar". And with IBB already labelling him as "a dish", this one seems fairly cut and dried. Get him here now.
He certainly doesn't pass my dishy standards. Looks like one of those troll dolls, and he's got stupid perky nipples. It's an emphatic no from me.
Even though Duxbury has openly stated that we will be getting players in and they will be looking to conclude deals as early as possible?
This buying and selling stuff is really easy, I'm just surprised the scouts don't get it/haven't twigged yet. Ask any Derby fan what they thought of Will Hughes and you get a positive. Chelsea fans and Chalobah is also 100% positive. Burnley fans laughed at the Gray fee at the time. If anyone came on here after buying Capoue what would we be telling them? Ask on the forums, it's a peice of p*ss this game.
You’re the one that is ITK so you tell me? In all seriousness, we are 10 days in. Do I wish we had signed someone yet? Definitely. But just because we haven’t doesn’t mean we are actively leaving it until the last minute. Silva has been critical of that so I doubt we would purposely do it again after publicly stating our intention to sign players to the fans.
Au contraire. Wind is the music to the combovers lyrics. Elevates and rejuvenates . Only together do they realise their own full potentials.
Javier Hernandez is apparently free to leave West Ham. Wages maybe an issue but I think he would be ideal
I suspect that the clowns that run that club are happy to keep him but if someone wanted to offer what they paid for him and take his wages off their books, then they would. I’d say that’s very unlikely though.
I imagine this is why our plan to act early in the window hasn't come off to date. "Listen Mr Chairman, I'd like to make you an offer for your fine and promising young forward. Ok we don't want to sell but what sort of offer were you considering ? I would like to offer you the sum of £1m. You are joking, we would want at least £15m to even contemplate selling Ok we will offer £1.1m It's £15m or no deal Ok £1.2m and thats our final offer Ok, cherio Gino Ok, ok, ok £1.3m......"
‘65% of the time, it works every time.’ To be fair, if that is the way he does it, his phone bill after the Andre Gray deal must’ve been sky-high...
Slimani is a better transfer for us right now than Iheanacho. The formers record is fantastic and his work rate is meant to be very good too. I think he would relish playing under Silva. Iheanacho would be a good signing in the long term if we could get him for cheap (and his attitude is good), but we need the goods right now.
Whilst hearing that Slimani’s work rate is supposed to be good, any time I’ve seen him this season I would say the exact opposite.
