The chant 'who are ya?' will for once be a genuine interrogative, rather than an ironic taunt.

I watched Man City play Bournemouth in the pub before our game against Brighton and AFCB were unfortunate they were organised and played on the counter and did okay. To be fair it could be said that Man City were not at their very best but I believe we are better than Bournemouth at that type of game and if Man City are not at it we could get something. Either way this is a free hit and if we get something from the game it will be a great achievement and set us up nicely for two away fixtures where we could pick up points Swansea and West Brom.

With Jesus on their side we have no chance. 5-1 City with Holebas sent off after 30 minutes for kung fu kick on Aguero.

By the way, just slightly off topic...if you save this into your favourites, you can hear Jon Marks commentating on the goals so far. it'll be updated after each game...obviously.

In the 0-5 drubbing, even though we had zero central defenders, one of the things that was obvious from kick-off was Janmaat's lack of pace against Sané (which eventually was the cause of him getting injured). Therefore - despite his cracking goal on Saturday - I hope Kiko is fit to start in place of him to negate at least one potential problem we could have.

Restrict them to crosses and he'll have no chance.

She must be in her 70s by now. We should just pepper the goal and distract her with a bag of werthers

Maybe we'll play from a bit deeper like an away game but still try and attack quickly. Can't see us getting lots of possession in this one.

Very important that we pick up points from those teams that are around us in the league, so I'd expect us to go all out for 3 points from this one

This game hinges on injuries - will we have 3 CB's fit? (1 on the bench, 2 playing)
Will Kiko be fit or is he still in a Southampton hospital with concussion or a brain bleed?
Their 1st choice keeper is likely to be fit based on the photos and that he watched the finish of the match from the bench/stand.
    No Kompany? Calf injury still?

If we have a fit team I have a vision of their RB hauling Richarlison down early 'ish' for a sending off and we get a result 1-1 or 2-1
Holobas is definitely more disciplined than previous years although still capable of professional fouls for the team.

When we took the lead against them year before last they had slept walked through the first 70 odd minutes of the match and they just went through the gears and scored 2 late goals but we gave it a good do. We have taken points off all the top 7 except for City so with our best team so far I'm expecting a rocking Vic and a positive result!

I will be mowing and trimming my lawn before I go to the match on Saturday, then at least if we lose I will have a tidy lawn to look at, and warm my heart on Sunday morning.

It's on! Win this and we will be top of the league next Saturday evening!

Might only be after 5 games and will probably change when Chelski and Manure win on Sunday but it would be a sweet feeling seeing the table on MOTD with us sitting on the top of the pile.

I agree with the viewpoint that in the end they will very likely have too much quality for us, and there's no shame in that: their squad is ludicrous, absolutely stuffed with immense talent now (except for at centre back, although I still believe Stones will come good in the end). I do also think, however, that it will be a more enjoyable outing than any previous one we have had against them during our current spell in the big time, and that we will be able to take positives from the match afterwards. Probably 2 or 3-1. None of these emoji are really appropriate for the meaning I want to convey. I hope you can accept the functionality of this one.

Last season we'd curled up and died 7 weeks before this game, had 2 for defenders who were both full backs and the manager couldn't give a rats about it. And they only won 5-0 then. It will not be the same.

    I'd take a 4-0 defeat now.

It would show an improvement on last year, but also put us back in our place where we belong and eliminate the feelings of grandeur we currently have.

Not necessarily a game changer or even tipping the balance much but City do have a Champions League trip to Feyenoord tomorrow. Now I know Carillo has just made a farce of the old, European game so not sharp for the weekend excuse, but they may be a little jaded.

I am not convinced the advantage comes from a perceived lack of rest or disruption to surroundings but more that City will spend Monday to Wednesday focusing on entirely different types of tactics and shapes, and realistically only have two training sessions focusing on the threats that we pose. We'll have had five sessions learning how to deal with them.

However if their keeper gets injured then we should definitely keep practicing those outside of the box worldies for their third choice keeper to deal with!

Superb stuff. If lawn maintenance proves to have run its course we can now easily switch to the dangers of putting on socks.

There's no way the Citee hordes will be able to cope with these sort of imaginative breakaway moves.
