Sound's like that huge Genk defender bloke Colley is Watford bound so we might not need Ranocchia. Wouldn't hut to have both though
Looks le Silva boy are Hull.going to be pissed http://www.skysports.com/football/n...-with-watford-over-vacant-managerial-position
Environmentally unsound. The more I think about it the lawn could be the sticking point. Silva obviously wants a small to medium size lawn and all he's been offered so far are places with some dodgy crazy-paving or a whacking great big lawn. If we can find him a place to live with a sensible sized lawn tomorrow then we can expect an announcement ...
Why anyone is interested in so many players who got relegated I have no idea. Until Silva got there they were going down without trace. Re Silva interviewing at Porto, this turned out not to be true - he was in Germany at the time.
Knowing Watford, I'm bracing myself for the inevitable last minute collapse in talks, followed by his immediate appointment at Palace
Possibly a little premature. Bem-vindo a Watford. and the Hornets Marco. Let's create history together for next season and get this wonderful club moving once again in the right direction. God knows we punch well above our weight as it is.
TalkSPORT really don't like Watford - they mentioned that Silva could do a lot better than go to Watford
Gave up caring what Talksh!te say about us. As far as Silva is concerned, it's a win/win for him. If he does well, it enhances his reputation...if he lasts a season then everyone will say typical Watford it's a poisoned chalice and it's to be expected, and his reputation remains untarnished.
At least they mentioned us this time. Earlier they were talking about all the clubs that were looking for new managers. They talked about Palace, Hull, Boro and even Southampton and West Ham, who still have managers......yet no mention of little Silvapot Watford.
Well if he wants to stay in England there isn't a of lot choice.. Southampton haven't sacked their manager yet and Palace are probably on about our level and they seem to have as much of a chequered recent history with managers as we do in recent times! If anything Pardew stayed too long with them and Pulis/Big Sam have walked out on them. Ah yes I forgot those sleeping/fallen giants in the Championship!
It's a story on their biggest sports daily papers too now, they say that we've reached an agreement for him to sign a 2 year contract. Stories in Portuguese so unless your @fan you might need to get on the Google Translate. http://www.record.pt/futebol/futebo...va-recusa-fc-porto-e-assina-pelo-watford.html https://www.abola.pt/nnh/ver.aspx?id=674341 If, as seems likely, this does go through, I'll be pretty optimistic about next season. The vast majority of fans on here seem to back this appointment which should go someway to repairing the relationship with the position of head coach; he speaks good English so we won't have to try to decipher his welcome message; he's a young up-and-coming and in demand coach rather than someone who was looking to get their reputation back on track; and he has some experience of the Premier League so hopefully won't take too long to bed in. Add to that that Hull played some decent counter attacking football with a weak squad and there's plenty for even the biggest grouches on here to be positive about. That's if it goes through, of course...
Sorry, have just come inside having finished off the lawn edges with nail clippers (eat your heart out, Monty Don). Can't be bothered to read back. Has this c*** been appointed yet?
Not yet. Go get the strimmer out the shed & get started on those troublesome edges, we'll give you a shout if there's any news
In the current story about the Silva talks on The Independent website (and they were first with the Schmidt talks, so I think they do have a line into the club )it says: "Watford are prepared to, according to one senior source, “shock the system”, to achieve their ambitions" Wonder what that means? Maybe they're going to attempt some big budget players? Unless the paper's source is just the club electrician? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
If it goes through then it's a great appointment and will rejuvenate the enthusiasm of fans again. Exactly what we need and he'll get the full backing of the fan base. Just need to get new lyrics to the QSF chant and I'm sold on next season.
Interesting. Get rid of lots of players & bring in lots of new players who are hopefully better I guess
I try my hardest not to listen to TalkSHYTE, however the other week after the Spurs game, every news update said Spurs had thrashed us. A week later after Spurs had put four past B'muff, the updates said Spurs had merely beaten B'muff. Any opportunity they'll try and belittle us
Senhor Marco Silva? Can't make his middle names fit. His full name is Marco Alexandre Saraiva da Silva
I can,t bear this.... Can somebody kick me and wake me up when he's got Elton,s number on speed dial?
It's as if we don't exist. Even on the day news of mazzarri's departure was announced we were not the lead story. When we do get a mention it's negative . Losing the last five games looks poor but has who we've played been taken into account, no of course not. Neither has palace,s run of managers been mentioned. Funny reading their thread, they wanting dyche. Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk
