Most likely rubbish, but I thought I'd leave it here anyway. This article claims that Monaco have made a £10.3m for Doucouré. http://sportwitness.co.uk/player-no...ford-transfer-wants-premier-league-football/?
Seriously doubt we'd sell him for 10. I'm sure the Pozzos envision him being worth much more in the future.
I sincerely hope we do not sell this guy! I don't have any real reason to say this, but I have a feeling he is going to be a star player for us this season.
Repeating myself to annoy people on another thread: Is the only evidence of this the FA page? WD never specified or claimed to know La Liga rules for yellow card suspensions. Is it possible that the FA page is not gospel and that 5 yellow cards always results in a ban in Spain?
Doubt we'd spend a year chasing a player only to land him and then sell him for a very small profit If money were Gino's motivation he would have sold Deeney and Iggy in the summer for £60 mill and replaced them with someone like Zaza for 1/3rd the price When we do sell Ducoure it will be 1) because we don't need him anymore, and 2) we have a replacement, and 3) we can make a tidy profit on him
It briefly came up in the post-match thread; just thought I'd preface the gratuitous copy+paste of my own comment.
I suspect he'll be in the side this weekend, now that Watson will be out. Wouldn't be surprised to see him play significant minutes with Watson out and Gueds on a yellow. Outside of Capoue, the midfield was lackluster. Costa is a handful under any circumstances. Having fresh bodies to throw at him all day might be the best play.
Gueds is so good he has to start every game on a yellow card, just to make it fair for everyone else.
Wasn't in the squad and 'wasn't ready' to be in the team? Refused to play to force through a move, maybe?
I'm more inclined to think that the manager picked the squad he thought best fit the match and then mangled the question in the press conference due to his pidgin English.
or 6) he was signed because Gino saw he was a bargain and could easily be sold for a quick profit, so he bought him, played him for half a season in Spain and hen looked to cash in on him as soon as Monaco came knocking. The Pozzos are business men. Get used to it.
Maybe he was suspended (by the Club not by the FA)? He did supposedly tweet he was suspended and then deleted it
Perhaps he was literally suspended after some sex act went wrong and unable to free himself in time to play ?
