I claimed we have a good manager. To be honest, I'm surprised anyone is arguing that point. Some managers are good on the international stage, some are good at club level. Michael O'Neill has certainly proven himself to be a good manager at international level. I know Hodgson did well at International level with Finland and Switzerland, but maybe the pressure of England is too much for him or maybe he is too old. I wouldn't say he has been a good manager while at England (backed up by a quarter final defeat in Euro 2012 and an embarrassing world cup campaign in 2014).
I hope NI do well too, but to suggest that Michael O'Neill has proven himself a good international manager and better than Roy Hodgson (for all his too obvious flaws), merely for qualifying for a tournament including other such footballing luminaries as Albania, Iceland and Wales, is just plain silly.
10 games out of 36 is quite unfair on him as it took him a couple of years to sort out the squad he inherited from Nigel Worthington. We were horrendous back then. I think we will just have to agree to disagree on the matter, and I also hope England and Wales do well (unless we end up playing them).
Could be a big blow for Northern Ireland if their main striker is out... Just waiting for one of ours to trip over his boot laces. Probably Vardy if he agrees to join Arsenal..
Michael O'Neill confirmed thats its nothing to worry about. Cathcart's injury against Slovakia also wasn't serious
Oh dear - hope this isn't going to start a trend particularly with the Wales game coming up! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...eers-Marseille-ahead-opening-game-Russia.html
What an embarrassment. 40 year old losers fighting and smashing things up. Amazing alcohol is legal and weed isn't. Look at the results.
Bets for tonight: £40 on France -1 @ evens £10 on Under 3.5 free kicks in the first 10 minutes @ 8/11 £7.50 on No corner in the first 5 mins (double with the same bet in the Albania/Switzerland game)
Alcohol isn't the problem, it's the way that certain people act once they've had a drink, and their motives to drink in the first place. Sad individuals, I pity them.
After the terrorist attacks we all changed Facebook photos to France flags, partook in minute applauses and spoke about it for weeks. Few months later we're there smashing the country up. The irony.
Bit lucky there, Giroud. Could have gone anywhere, but credit to him for challenging the keeper. Keeper really should have claimed that though.
What a goal from Payet! Thats what I love about football - he gets subbed after the goal and is nearly in tears walking off the pitch!
Wonderful goal from the best player on the pitch. Hard to believe he only cost the Hammers 10 million!
If we sign Pereyra from Juve I genuinely think he would be our Payet. We might only have him for one or two seasons but he would be flippin amazing.
Just remember kids you don't have to believe everything you read on Twitter... England fans have been targeted by police, how do you expect them to respond? ... Yes let's all run away and get into our beds
