    Exactly this.

Much as I like this idea, I don't believe Gueds will start. QSF will probably revert to Jurado...again.

I've not long since passed my driving test, but on the two occasions I've driven, I've parked up near Watford Metropolitan Line station. I usually head into town for a mint tea or a free Waitrose coffee or a sammich or something, so there's usually more spaces then. As long as you don't plan on parking up at around 2:30 you should be fine.

RE: parking, the Man United game was a mare. Usually go to Church, was queueing on the ring road for 15/20 minutes only to see that only floor 4/5 were open due to structural work. Completely necessary I'm sure, but there was no warning sign outside about it. Ended up going all the way up, back down and out of the car park and finally stuck with the Cassiobury Park car park down past Watford Met station, at least it was free!

A game where we will have a chance of controlling possession so maybe Jurado back in at Anya/Paredes expense. Our pass completion stats were terrible at the weekend and we continually gifted Villa possession. Fancy Ighalo and Deeney to get some joy against Bassong.

    Any news on Gomes?

After his blow on the head he now thinks he's a coat rack. Despite this Jurado still can't score past him in training.

  9. GoingDown

I heard that in training, Jurado stands on the half way line and if anyone tries to move him he cries and kicks Guedioura.

Parking. It's always terrible this time of year. It's even worse with the car parks fiasco. St Albans - park at Westminster Lodge, take the Abbey Flyer to Watford Junction. Or, take the 724 bus (after it has sat in the town centre).

Just park in the estate behind Westfield School, 10-15 minute walk at most.

  14. Drive to B&Q by the Arches. Get out of car, cover numberplates with plastic bag and tape. Get back in car and drive to Waterfields estate (above Tesco). Park. Get out and remove bags. As they have not been able to use ANPR to log your arrival, they will not be able to check how long you've been there. (I always used to park a French registered van in Tescos on matchdays, never heard a thing).

    Perfect for M1.

  15. I've got a ticket for all 3. Don't see why you'd need a PM.

To avoid the plastic bag palava you could "borrow" the number plates from a similar car in a long stay car park (at, say, L*t*n airport).

In terms of possession, that is the only positive I can find for Jurado. He does keep the ball well despite that being sideways or backwards passes and slowing the game down to a crawl.

Didn't he hit the bar once too!?

Sure Gueds might give the ball away a little bit more (which Capoue will duly clean up) but he might also burst through the midfield and schhhming one in from 30 yards - either that or pull off one of those naughty round the corner assists to Ighalo....or both.

Strange that they think our home form is bad W2 D2 L3 - but the 2 of the 3 defeats were Man Utd and Arsenal, particularly as their overall form is 5 defeats in the last 7, it would have been 6 defeats had Arsenal not had two critical injuries last weekend, they haven't picked up a point on the road since September.

As normal, seen they are predicting to score a lot of goals against us on their forum. To be fair they did last year. However they just don't have the form strikers to muster more than a goal. Troy and Iggy are both in form they will give their centre pairing a torrid time.
If they play expansive attacking football I think we can handle them and would smash them on the counter. If they play defensive I think we could still poach a goal but they wouldn't offer anything ala West Brom .

Let's hope they turn up and play like they did at Newcastle. Certainly a bottom 3 team contender if they do.
Going for a wind assisted 1-0 win. Deeney again to make it 5 on the bounce.

Don't worry about passing completion, Leicester have the lowest in the whole league and it's not harming them much. I'd much rather have some pace on at least one side, we are so slow and predictable when Jurado and Abdi play together.

Hopefully Deeney and Ighalo pull out a big performance this time as Bassong and whoever played alongside him dominated them last time.

Definitely, it's time to step up and prove ourselves.

    I'm going 5-0 Watford (moog x 2, highgrade hat-trick).

Eh? Sometimes I wonder if I actually see the same words as some on here when I read the same text. Yes, the first poster alludes to our home form being worse than our away form (which is true) but most on there seem to be saying they'd be happy with a draw.

  30. GoingDown

    GoingDown "The Stability"

Due to the fact that our squad is so decimated due to African Nations Of Nations Universe Champions Trophy call ups that we're having to play 83 year old forum member Moog and drag Highgrade kicking and screaming from his seat right at the back with the proper boys, I'm going to predict:-

8-0 Watford. Tough afternoon for the Canaries.

I may be 83 but I've got class and that's permanent. I can spot a 40 yard pass quicker than anyone in this league. Can't swing my rusted fast hip to make the pass, but I can spot it and wistfully think "That would have been a good one" as Anya looks frustratedly up at me from acres of space and Robbie Brady dispossesses me easily to run through and score 1 on 1.

I'm sure that Guedioura will start tomorrow. He thoroughly deserves it and I'm certain that his harrying and energetic style of play will help us to take control of the midfield and hopefully, win the game.

A place on the bench for Oularé too perhaps?

    Oh you do, do you?

Well knowing is one thing Seb and doing is another.

You can know all you like, but knowing isn't going to help your slow, lumbering, all-or-nothing, lunging in, desperado-style defending style.

Do you like nutmegs with yer chops?
