Yes I agree and it will change. We saw our capabilities against Everton. Again I will state Albion and Soton came to us on the back of 3-0 drubbing. They made it very difficult for us. But we had chances that weren't taken. Solidity is the key.
I personally don't think so. We set up that way and it was working to an extent. We were on a hiding to nothing yesterday. I personally think Man City should be applauded instead of moaning about how we played. Before you say I know you personally haven't moaned in this post.
Here's the BBC graphic showing average first half positions: On average Deeney was no deeper than Ighalo on the other side yet no one on here is accusing Odion of being a LM/LWB/LB. Odd.
That's because the man on the telly didn't tell them about Ighalo. I imagine some are getting a little miffed at the man on the telly for not telling them what to think.
Phil McNulty @philmcnulty 41m41 minutes ago Oxford, England Inter offer for Borini comes in at £6m. Watford have offered £7m. Fiorentina still in but Sunderland's £8m rising to £10m winning the day.
From what I've seen Borini is in the same mould as a Weimann-type striker, he works hard and can be a nuisance for defenders, but lacks a clinical finishing side to him that the likes of Vydra have.
Another spot on Twitter rumour brought to you by the WFCForums Transfer Monitors. Looking forward to his debut.
Our yearly link to Borini has arrived http://sportwitness.co.uk/aston-villa-watford-tested-waters-versatile-forward-contract-soon/
He's made a whole career out of being a CF who doesn't score goals. His scoring record over the last 8 years is appalling. We wanted a 20 goal striker and here he is, 23 goals in 8 years. He sounds exactly the type of CF we would be interested in. 2012–2015 Liverpool 25 (2) 2013–2014 → Sunderland (loan) 32 (7) 2015–2018 Sunderland 50 (7) 2017–2018 → Milan (loan) 29 (2) 2018–2020 Milan 22 (2) 2020– Hellas Verona 11 (3)
Haha. A striker that doesn't score goals and is approaching the end of his career? We're already covered in that area.
Another player who has made a career out of being rubbish. Veolia Services will need an extra large lorry to turn up at the Vic given the amount we have stockpiled.
This is brilliant. I absolutely was accusing Ighalo of playing LWB. How QSF was rehired after playing Ighalo and Deeney as wing backs and Jurado a lone striker I'll never understand.
