WFCForums Twitter New Developments - Facebook Connect Align your Facebook account with your account here at WFC Forums, this is more of a feature for people who haven't registered yet to make it quicker/easier for them- Facebook Likes Above every topic, and when you create a thread, there'll be a box to like it or publish it to your Facebook, again, entirely optional- Twitfeed A twitter feed to cover #WatfordFC on the homepage- Twitter Account Active twitter account, which now has a follow button at the top of the header- Personal Twitter Accounts You can now enter your twitter username, without the @ in your profile and a follow button widget will appear under your avatar- v'Orns I've brought back vOrns which you may have noticed under your avatars, this increments with your posts/thread creations but aren't currently available to use- Image Uploader There is now a widget plugin for when you create new posts/threads, it means you can upload an image with a third party server, and put the link in your post, all in the same screen. Easy as pie.- vBookie The virtual bookmakers is back, time to use all those lovely orns you've been saving up. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hi all, I know some of you already know and follow, but for those that don't we do have a twitter for the forum. Click here to go to the Twitter page.
brilliant, will be good to see some twitter news as well. Can we keep a sticky for watford related social network stuff as well
You can't just now anyway as it's not setup correctly yet, but after that yes. It is of course entirely up to you.
Not entirly sure, I have used the fb login on other forums and has not shown my real name but stayed with my username set up on the forum from the start. I guess the only real way to fing out is to get it working correctly and one of us mods test it.
Twitter Feed Suggestion Might be worth removing #WFC as a linked hash tag and only including #WatfordFC and #Watford, as there seems to be far more non Watford related tweets hash tagged with #WFC coming up on the feed than related ones.
From memory WFC is but not Watford, my only worry about the latter is it could catch a whole load of irrelevant uninteresting tweets too.
Sorry Layts! It is optional though, you don't have to integrate the pair. Anyway, Facebook connectivity will be coming along with the impending upgrade, you may also notice the Twitter button in the navigational bar, feel free to follow if you aren't already.
Just to re-iterate, nothing is forcing you to connect your Facebook account with your account on here, it doesn't do it itself. So if you don't want to use it, then you don't have to. It's more of a new way for users to join, or if people do want to retrospectively link, then they can.
i am a bit slow on these things , are posts made on here , viewable on twitter ? and/or facebook? im not annonymous to quite a few on here so not that fussed but i like to know , who can see what and how
Nope, nothing is taken from here and used on Twitter/Facebook, nothing to worry about. The Facebook button is just there to literally make it quicker/easier for new people to register if they already have Facebook (should they wish to, they can still register the old fashioned way). Unless you make a thread that's popular so we tweet it to get others involved, but you'd still be anonymous even so.
Dont think I like this facebook thing, think its just a fad and will die out eventually. I give it two years maximum.
On the ticket on the forum. the #wfc feed is picking up Walsall fans! Have to agree with Nath, #watfordfc would probably be a little better
Mobile Skin Can people logging on with their mobiles let me know if it automatically chooses the Mobile Skin rather than the normal one? Thanks!
