Yes it was always going to hard but i dont feel we should of done as bad as we did. there were must win games that we let are selfs down when really we could of won. I have alot of praise for aidy last season but this season other managers would of got around the same points he got us. Thats why for me he is going to have to do better next season to prove himself again next season.

I dont want to hear about what a hard job it has been. i want to hear where we went wrong and what the club are going to do about it. I want to hear aidy say he wants to win the championship and bring in more players and get rid of a few.

For a while we didn't do that bad - we gave lots of teams - good teams - real runs for their money. If you saw the early finish table on SSN - we'd be safe if matches were 80 minutes in stead of 90. I'm not saying that means we deserve to stay up - it doesn't - but it shows we didn't get played off the pitch very often.

Having said that - our biggest failure has been not beating the other bottom clubs. Okay so we've only won 4 but only one was against a bottom team - Wet Spam. We should have beaten the likes of Charlton, Wigan and Blunts if we were to stay up. We failed at that and were down. Down a day after Scum so there's a positive. And down a hell of a lot stronger than we came up. Experience wise. Depth in squad wise. And cash wise.

Taylor is right when he says we have a foundation to build on now. Aidy says he's got 80-85% of the squad he wants already which means he's bringing in another 3 to 5.

If they are top players straight into the first team, I'd say we were favourites to go back up. Our squad and manager will be that good. If he brings in squad players I'd say we should at least get in the playoffs.

I think one of the major problems we've had is over the seasons our squad has changed so rapidly they've hardly had time to gel.

I think before Aidy joined Mahon was the only first team regular still here. In 2years that is a lot of change.

We've got some talented players and future stars coming through. We need to settle down. Not to mention We are still trying new tactics week in week out to see how the players respond.

You could see from those stats (though obviously we knew anyway) our defence has leaked so many goals since christmas. I remember noting to myself before christmas that our GD was over 10 above some of the teams around us.

I don't know what has happened - though I suspect it is the mentality dying having drawn and lost so many matches we should have won - but we are now in dire need of a summer break to really let the palyers get aquainted and get our game plans straight.

I can only imagine that this is already the case. I thought he was the only one who knew how to throw away a big lead after coming down from the Prem...................

I saw Taylor after the game in the same venue, and when asked if he might be up for the asistant manager vacancy, he genuinely did not seem to know that Burkinshaw had actually left the club

He also found the whole episode leading up to their 4th goal highly ammusing, and asked the whole bar if anyone knew what system we were playing at that stage? Because he certainly didn't

Wouldn't suprise me if he's done with football, at least on the day-to-day side of things. I reckon he's happy enough as a pundist/columnist etc.
