Not sure that's true. He picked up some wickets at the death with full tosses in previous games but Jordan has been the form death bowler for me.
Stokes has history with the West Indies, gets himself worked up into a frenzy, his nemesis Marlon Samuels at the end he's bowling from, final over of the World Cup. So, probably not the right choice but had he bowled the previous over, they might have needed comfortably less than 19. Jordan bowling the penultimate over was all about giving the final bowler something to defend. I thought with that dot ball at 18.5 that we had them. We didn't.
All bowlers had done their allocation, but in hindsight Morgan could have used Ali for a few overs of spin during the middle overs as it was turning for Rashid.
I met Jimmy once, in Belgium of all places and he was one of the loveliest people I've ever spoken to. Whilst Freddie, KP and Broad rushed off to avoid talking to anyone Jimmy and Cook stayed to talk to us (a school trip) and they were really nice.
Great day yesterday but weather forecast doesn't look great today. If it wasn't for that stand of 60ish in lower order, where would SL have been?
Very sad new indeed, thought he did well when he opened the batting down under a few years back and never got the credit he deserved, seems like a top bloke as well, fingers crossed and get well soon
Cook and Root showing good form but Vince out pretty cheaply again - will he be dropped or given more time?
Is this what you called a rearguard action! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/36931895 "including a record 154 consecutive deliveries without a run" Still the Aussies ended up getting beaten.
Effectively that's over 25 maidens in a row ... which incidentally reminds me of a lovely dream I once had
Bump! V good result considering the 1st innings. I'm off to day 4 at the Oval, fingers crossed we deal the series victory and go number 1
