They're all having a good laugh at our expense on wearetherangersc*nts about our Wear a Vest Day saying that those vests will now read 'Judas' if he goes to them because we hate them so much.

Dream on lads, you'll never have a proper rivalry. Go annoy Chelski.

So if this all comes to fruition Don Bas has not tried very to win the fans over. His customers!

First the pitch and now selling our two most influential players in the team, what plan do you have next up your sleeve, Don Bas .I hope you have bought that book I told you to buy Don Bas " How To Win Friends and Influence People " By Dale Carneige , if not you haven't your going to ****ing need it.

I think a few people on here are jumping the gun a bit by the sounds of some of you it sounds like hes already gone which he hasn't. QPR have gone in with an offer desinged to test the boards mettle. They wont sell for such a paltry amount and I doubt Graham would go to QPR considering the reception he got at Loftus Road.

''Oh no! You can't say that! Give him a chance!''

Except he has failed at every opportunity he has had to do the right thing and satisfy the fans.

If he turns it around then fair play to him and I'll praise him to the hilt but so far all he has done is let people down and make f**k ups. Not one good bit of news from the club in the off season except perhaps Jenkins new deal. Although in saying that they have probably put in a f**king £1 million minimum fee release clause.

We are talking SSN hear who scroll any gossip that they hear from agents.

Remember how they declaired that O'Neil was taking over from Grant, how Madrid had agreed a deal with Rooney, or Barcelona with Febragas ?

They are gossip merchants who get more wrong than right

Dead right. Some people don't seem to appreciate contracts are a 2 way thing. We can't say to a player please sign this contract entirely in our favour and expect any positive response. Remember that a lower sum in a release clause suits the player (Graham or otherwise) as it makes a move more likely and they can engineer more cash via signing on fees and wages. It's not a criticism of Graham to say that he was merely looking after his own interests. Just don't automatically say the club was at fault.

Danny will undoubtably leave, but to QPR would rub salt in the wound. I hate seeing Tommy in a hooped shirt let a lone DG along side him!
Hopefully an established prem club will come in for him and he'll make the sensible option to chose them over QPhaha, and we'll get CMS and Wiggis and it's happy days from then on in :)

I think a lot of people are forgetting that if Graham leaves for £2.5m, we will owe Carlisle £375,000. £2,125,000 will get lost in the debts....we HAVE to hold out for more than that or we don't get a replacement. fact.

The only reason to accept an offer of this amount this early in the season is because he has a release clause in his contract. If this offer is accepted bas can't be blamed as he did not offer the contract.

The season is not even finished yet so there is no need to sell unless it is in his graham's contract that we have to.

An activated release clause does NOT mean the offer is immediately accepted. People on this forum do my nut in sometimes anyway, where did this "minimum release clause" appear from. How would you EVER know the terms of someones contract.

Exactly, no-one knows the terms of the contracts so you can't jump the gun to much.

What does an activated release clause mean? Does it just mean the club can negotiate with the player? ???

It means that DG10 can talk to them but he's not exactly going to say no to Premiership football is he? Obviously we couldn't sell him against his will just because a pre-determined fee had been met otherwise he'd be off to Crawley Town.

Well what else does a minimum fee release clause mean? If someone bids that, we are obliged to accept it. If there is this clause, then that is the MAXIMUM he will go for

If there is a release clause is it Bas's fault? NO. Can he do anything about it. NO. Apart from telling Danny not to go, but when the prem beckons and money talks, the best negotiator won't be able to keep him

Exactly. If he really does have one, which is looking very likely, then it essentially puts a ceiling on the price he will go for no matter what happens, hence the anger and annoyance on here.

Just been speaking to a couple of QPR mates and an Arsenal fan about it and the QPR fans are over the moon and agree that it is a ridiculously low price and that we've screwed ourselves over.

The people who do my nut, are those who kick and scream that its all unfair when we don't know the facts, slating the board for weakness when nothing is confirmed, Danny said a few days back its all paper talk, so leave it at that.

At the same time, i'm not going to stand by and watch a bunch of guys behind a computer screen, slate the club for its lack of ambition, or for not spending millions of pounds. THAT does my nut in. WAKE UP!!!

I was referring to the pitch and the Eustace and whoever else that can bring in a bit of dosh situation. The DG10 situation whilst not Bas' fault, unless he actually doesn't have a minimum fee release clause, just exacerbates the whole mess around us at the minute and makes me even more p*ssed off that we are playing on a mud heap next season without our most influential player and captain because another Championship showing some sort of ambition have come along and offered £200k for him and we are genuinely considering that?!

Has nobody thought that DG may have only extended his contract because of this release fee?

This is the most entertaining thread of the close season so far! The majority of it smacks of huge managerial/business experience on football manager...

Sorry I forgot John Eustace has been sold for £200k

OH  thats right it was a small crappy article in the Sun

JE did an interview on the website discussing this season and next and his program notes told us how pleased he was to be here and to continue to be a presence.

I don't get my facts from The Sun, i get them from local broadsheets and reliable sources of information such as the Watford Observer and BBC Radio Derby, both of which have essentially said that it is a done deal.

We can get more surely..Carlisle would get some of the money.

I know DG is out of contract next summer which maybe puts the price down?

    Jesus, get over it.

He was always going to go, and this kind of fee has been banded around for months now, so it's hardly a surprise.

He'll fail epically in the Premiershit anyway. Misses far too many chances and isn't clinical enough. He'll get far less chances against far better defenders and he'll be a flop at that level...mark my words!

Nice bloke, works hard, but sadly falls into the same category as players like Jason Koumas and Tommy Smith...too good for the Championship, but won't be good enough at the highest level. He won't get into double figures next season...whether it's at QPR, Stoke, Bolton or whoever.

Sordell is going to be an even better players next season after the experience he's got from this season. Deeney finished the season very well, albeit playing out of position on the right. I don't think he'll score 20 goals a season, but he'll make a lot of goals for others.

MM won't have much money to spend to replace DG, but if he can manage to sign a loan Premiership player for a season from one of the bigger clubs, there's no reason why we can't score as many goals as we did this season.

More importantly we need to sign a left-back.

Get shot of Loach for £1,500,000...get £2,500,000 for Graham, and sign Wiggins, a loan prem striker, a new keeper and a creative midfielder.

Keeping Eustace is a must, IMO. Good player and I don't think Jenkins or Walker are good enough to replace him yet.

If you genuinely believe that then I despair. 27 goals in one season for a team that didn't finish in the top half.

I seem to remember everyone was moaning when HH was sold for a 'paltry' £1,300,000 to Flem!

He did nothing in the Prem after having a great season for us the year before in the Championship.

Look who we signed to replace him/improve the squad. Marlon King, Darius Henderson, Malky Mackay, Matt Spring and Ben Foster.
