I'm a bit tired of J Cole by now, I don't know why, just am. agree with Kendrick and Q though. They're in my most played atm.

I do listen to hip-hop, I write about hip-hop actually. If you ask any artist they'll agree there is Akala days and there's 2 Chainz days where you just wanna shout ALL I WANT FOR MY BIRTHDAY IS A BIG BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTY.

I wouldn't download a 2 Chainz album or have a quiet day where I have his music playing through headphones no. However there is a time and a place for him e.g before you go out to party.

Yeah I get a little bit tired of J Cole as well. I think I overplayed a load of his songs and now I've not listened to them in a long time. As much as Kendrick called out everyone in Control just for publicity/jokes, the guy is very clever and makes brilliant songs. The sort-of "harshness" and grittiness that Q has is good as well. I've got myself massively into Habits and Contradictions and Oxymoron.

Oh yeah I defo agree. Although for me before I go out, it's either Q, Rick Ross or Jay Z

 

I know this is a little self indulgent (sorry to all you youngsters) but have seen many brilliant concerts over the years, but this little bit of the Live Aid concert in 1984 was particularly memorable. These 20 odd minutes brought a pretty drab affair into life. Freddy Mercury was easily the best live performer I have seen, IMO. I had the good fortune to meet him at his home in 1989, a real nice, gentle person, so completely different from his stage persona.
