Is that with JCVD? Where he's confronted by a snake....and then knocks it out with one punch?

    Gran Torino

I'm not normally one for films without car crashes, space battles or Eddie Murphy:biggrin:, however I heartily recommend you watch this. It's on Sky Anytime at the moment if you've got the Movie Channels.

Clint Eastwood does a pretty good job of directing himself playing a Kick Ass Victor Meldrew, who eventually softens up after making friends with his neighbours. A good reflection on the stupidity of gang culture.

Liked Gran Tourino. The Korean actors were all dire though.

Not Korean, but I suspect you knew that..?
The characters were Hmong, and it appears most of the Asian actors were, too.

Watched Knowing last night. Great film until the woeful ending. A film that Nicholas Cage is actually good in because his films are usually tragic.

I think I may of already posted something similar earlier in this thread, but that film was fantastic until the last 30 minutes, then it bombed haaaaard.

It's awfully sad that it's remembered as the 'exploding head film'....

Probably Cronenberg's masterpiece, but was lumped in with the 80's 'video nasty' catalogue which is grossly unfair....

The exploding head is good tho.....

Actually I'd forgotten that. Sorry. They were dreadful actors though, apart from the spiky old crone.

    Paranormal Activity.

One or two chilling bits, but overall not as bad as everyone claims. I like how pretty much all that is needed to make it was a house and a videocamera - so low budget, yet so much profit. I hear a 2nd is planned for later this year...

Despite the bad reviews we went to see Wild Target with Bill Nighy as a hitman because we just wanted to go to the pictures.

It was very very funny, the whole cinema really laughing throughout.

Saw The A-Team at the Mrs' insistence. She used to watch it with her dad every Sunday night when she was a kid...so we went on Father's Day as a remembrance for him as he passed in the 90's.

Basically, the whole movie is a setup for the last line of the film, which was:
"I love it when a plan comes together."

Fair entertainment, the kind of movie I'd get drunk with buddies in college and watch on video.
