Hopefully we might get a percentage sell-on, although I'm not too sure we will. I seem to remember, because of Gino's mismanagement of running the club, we were so desperate for cash, we did the deal early and Brighton gave us a bigger chunk up front. More evidence of cash-flow problems, which seem to plague us at every turn.
I think it's time to end the loan, bring him back and sell him to the highest bidder. Or even hold onto him to fire us to promotion now that some regular first team football has seen him develop to a level where he can be of use, though he's still no Rajovic.
Would've settled for one of A) their entire squad or B) their chairman and sporting director and no less
Unplayable! Hat trick hero! What a player! MOTD go way over the top rubbing their knees frantically over his performance v Sheff Utd. Yeah it was a hat trick but a TD9 style hat trick including 2 pens. He's a good player, yes. But not a patch on Richarlison in my opinion.
2 pens out of 3 still means one goal from open play! If you look at what Richarlison is now, I'd be shocked if JP doesn't overtake him, I suppose he did lead the line for Brazil in Qatar, but it ain't the best Brazil team!
Strip out the pens and he still has the same amount of goals as Richarlison (don’t know if any of those are pens themselves) in all comps. And he’s four years younger. Really difficult to make a plausible case that he won’t end up better than Richarlison ((if he isn’t already) let alone suggesting he isn’t a patch on him.
They are and have been for a while but seem able to still buy players or certainly did a year or two ago. Guess those purse strings really have been tightened now.
