I reckon as neither of the runners concerned don't usually do the 1st changeover, they probably momentarily forgot the first bit of the 2nd lap has to be run in lanes, as that does not apply to the rest of the changeovers in a 4x400 relay race

 

Here we go, yet another relay disqualification to add to our history of relay disqualifications. They almost effed it up by last leg runner going off far too hard, but saved it with the dip/point. Running outside your lane before the stagger is completed is such a basic error. It's something that is actively looked for by the judges. Braindead moment.

 

Just 3 Gold medals (no individual Golds on the track) for the able-bodied England athletes at a Home games. That's a piss-poor return,

The Boxers from all the Home Nations have done everybody proud. 12 Golds, 5 Silvers and 9 Bronxes, 26 in Total. A superb haul.

 

Overall a really good experience though not to the level of London 2012.

Very fortunate to see 10 events. Managed to see England win 1 gold live on Thurs but slightly disappointing they weren't in the cricket or men's hockey final for final 2 events i saw.

Personally i thought it was good how the para sports were integrated but have seen the paralympic committee want it to remain seperate.

 

Yes, it was a good games and was good to see some of the other sports getting some time in the limelight, including Wales Jared Breen knee-sliding celebration in the bowls, which he got a stern ticking off for.

Good to see plenty of emerging talent coming through in sports such as Gymnastics, Diving and Boxing to name just 3. However, apart from a handful of world class performers there is a worrying dearth of Athletic talent particularly in some of the Men's events. Perhaps they've just all been resting for the European championships or perhaps not.

 

Forgive me if someone has already mentioned this but the England kit was awful!

Kukuri or some rugby brand.

Worst kit of any competing nation.

 

I read TM's rejection of it.

Fairly anodyne response from Jessica Enis Hill but you'd expect this to run, excuse the pun.
Whether TM is guilty of these findings it reminds people that coaches in every sport are not beyond reproach.

So many examples of poor practice within tennis that it beggars belief.

I have acted as a conduit in bringing one such charlatan to the attention of the tutoring/coaching department. The person in question has a series of misdemeanors that would make your eyes water. You name an accusation, they've committed it.

We shall see what transpires but it doesn't give you faith in the checks and balances. How these people are allowed to work is astonishing.

This individual was on my tutoring course and were most certainly of questionable morals,yet they have worked their way up into a prominent position.

Frightening.
