I posted sayin i heard a rumour and with a it of an educated guess think Tono will come here. Granada have just tied their number 1 goalkeeper down to a new contract and will be loaning Croatian international goalkeeper Ivan Kelava who has just signed for Udinese as a no 2.

This leaves Tono out in the wilderness. Almunia is out of contract and has recentl said that while he is talking to Watford he is also free to talk to other clubs. Like i say, at the moment i am putting 2 + 2 together and geting 4 1/2 just like everyone else posting a rumour on here

Bond needs to be playing every week to develop. You dont develop by sitting on the bench lets be honest.

He needs game time and by going out on loan does this - I'm sure he would agree on this too - ChrisBottom16 is right.

Do you really think Bond learns nothing being sat on the bench? Am I reading this right? Fair enough, he will learn a lot more through playing regular games but to say he will learn nothing by just being sat there is completely wrong. The amount he can learn from Almunia just by watching him through the season would be great and to be honest, I think if Bond stays this is going to be the transitional season between Almunia and Bond with both getting game time with the view of Bond becoming the number 1 keeper the following season. We do need a third choice, prefereably someone with experience but I don't think Bond being loaned out to a League 1 club is the correct route.

Yes you learn a ceratain amount by being sat on the bench. You can study positioning, coming for crosses, how Almunia organises the deffence.

However. Bond has shown in mistakes against Bradford and Sheff Wed that he is to a certain extent naive but having played 8 games that is something he loses with experience.

You do not however learn how to deal with back passes under pressure, how to deal with corners when the defender is stood 2 inches in front of you, how you deal with the crowd giving you **** from behind the goal, how do pick yourself up after letting in 5, how to organise your deffense in your own way, how to slow play down or spped it up and take your time when taking a goal kick, how to dictate the move of the team when you start with the ball and how you position yourself naturaly by sitting on your arse.

By playing 40 odd games for a top league 1 side and geting match experience we have a much better goalkeeper than if he spends half of next season twidlling his thumbs

Nothing I've seen from Bond so far makes me think he's any better than Loach was at the same stage. The hype and expectation around him is becoming a bit silly I think. I would rate his chances of becoming our number one any time soon as somewhere between slim (Championship) to none (Premier League).

Why would Pawlowski come here to be number 2?

Cos it's better than being number 4 at Udinese I guess.

Not as good as being number one in Serie B though

True point. Maybe it's to take in Watfords glorious culture and history.
