Thanks for trying to put a positive spin on it but it doesn't work Depending on the fee (which considering he only had 6 months left on his contract and has never played at this level must be low) this could be a very good aquisition by Todgers. I doubt he'll start tomorrow but at least it will keep De-de-de and Jay on their toes. I am happy about this!
Very happy with this. Highly rated, Strong and tall, English, Cheap wages, Comes from a local club so it will be easier for him to settle, Good age as he isn't too old nor too young and most importantly he is a Big,strong centre-back which we have been calling out for all season. Agreed, i wonder where all those getting hysterical over a RUMOURED 500K fee are now, probably washing their y-fronts after they sh*t themselves.
I was one of those so-called hysterical people. I still maintain that a price of 500k (which was the one rumoured) is way too high for a league 2 defender with 6 months left on his contract and a suspect knee. 150k seems right if he is as good as Wycombe fans seem to think. I still can't help to think that there's a reason he's spent so long at L2 level. All in all though, this could turn out to be a very good window for us. So far it's been fantastic.
I've been to Wycombe a few times this season and he has been impressive in every game. Very popular player. I'd say this is good business all round, reasonable fee, presumably not a strain on the salary front, big guy, good ball winner.
I think it will be a good signing, maybe not right away which is not ideal but in a few games time once hehas formed a partnership with one of the lads. i still think doyley could do a job for us in the CB role.

Agree About five of mates are season ticket holders now or used to be and they said he could play in the championship. They also think he is better than roger johnson as well and he is decent. I think we will start as he was signed in time to play

the news articles say he'll start instead of Mariappa. Not sure if i wouldn't rather have dropped Jay tbh. But then both have been flakier than, erm, a flake this season.

weren't Lincoln fans also gutted, when we took Mayo of them? Really cannot see how a £150k league 2 player is the answer to all our prayers. Hopefully he will be a decnt signing, but quality he is not otherwise he would have interested better clubs than us. Also having two Williamsons in the side could uck up peoples bets - damn the board, they do not consider the fans needs.
A lot of people seem to think that he can really play and has the potential to look good at this level too. I do hope this is the case as we desperately need to do something about our kamikaze defence. All in all, I think this will turn out to be one of Buck's better deals. I would also like to see him play with Demerit - the two of them should compliment each other.
you have a point but there are good players in the lower leagues we just have to hope rodgers has found one of them like i said judgement reserved till i see him play
Just watched afew videos of Willo scoring and he is massive and he really did get some power on his headers. All his goals were practically identical aswell, deep corner to almost the edge of the box where he just loops it into the top corner with alot of power.
