Such a shame that the new edit of Crocodile Dundee has been edited for "modern sensibilities", how times have changed. A snapshot of the past is just that, a snapshot of the past. What's the point of editing it, Ministry of Truth-style.

Hogan's brand of 70s/80s humour, might not be for modern tastes, but it brings back fond memories of when it first appeared on Channel 4.



I don't know if it's an urban legend, but back in the day, I was told that he and Nick Cave did an Advert for Foster's Lager. If true, I'd love to see that.

 

Hogan did plenty of Fosters ads (see Mr Google). Not sure Cave was in any of them.

 

Just watched Friday evening's Have I Got News For You and for the first time in living memory it actually made me laugh out loud. Even Paul Merton said something amusing. Strange days

I've said it before and I'll say it again; it's criminal that HIGNFY is still going yet the BBC axed Mock The Week.

 

He's had about 30 years so it was bound to happen one day.
Such a dreadful tired programme these days.

 

Absolutely. It was a great programme and a great route for aspiring young comics to get a break on prime time TV.

 

My favourite was always Whose Line Is It Anyway.

 

Yes, liked it at the time but not really sure why now ! Mind you, haven't seen it for 30+ years ?
