Don’t worry. One of our fans will be along shortly to declare its all fine because Leicester once took a loan out after they sold Riyad Mahrez.
Its in US$ so $4.6m is £4m as at todays exchange rate whereas a week ago it was £4.3m and heading to parity so £4.6m-is Gino speculating on £/$ rate because I am not sure we have any $income/assets to service a debt in that currency-bizarre business on the face of it or is it the Cucho transfer fee we are borrowing against ?
Could this be to pay the players, staff for October before a takeover, headed by SEJ? Asking for my Ψυχή . Or am I clutching at straws?
This must point to a massive cash flow crisis …. We banked god knows how much over the summer and spent next to nothing, plus we have made huge wage savings. Ok we get 1/2 prem money but the sales bridged that gap. At one point we are saying we are paying debts off and on the other hand borrowing again. If it smells like **** and looks like ****… it’s normally **** !!!
Not to mention £16m given to us by Udinese which was supposedly paid all up front. We are stuffed if they are borrowing more money on top of all the summer activity. Promotion or bust.
Can someone post the quote from Duxbury about him not having to worry about our finances… and also that we’ve only got £50m debt.
Giving us some cash while Udinese get a replacement for their outgoing LB, it all makes sense, but £16m was alarming for a player charitably worth half that, despite all the good work the Pozzos are doing over there, I do wonder what our Italian friends think of that fee...
We bunged ourselves £16m barely a month ago in a highly dubious deal almost immediately after the Sarr sale fell through To be going back for another £5m loan so soon again tells you all you need to know about our cashflow and ability to service debt and obligations
Poor old Duxbury. “I don’t have to worry about finances and can spend time supporting Rob Edwards changing culture and approach.” Ten games later we have sacked Edwards for being just outside the playoffs, had to take a £16m injection from Udinese and taken a £4m payday loan out!!
And if the lack of programme notes (not even something which totally avoids the Edwards issue ) is anything to go by silenced and put in his place .
It’s going to be fun when we don’t go back up, we’re on reduced PP (and the final year of them) and Sarr is in the last year of his deal and worth about £15m max.
As someone else said elsewhere, wouldn’t be surprised if he’s currently going through a protracted period of resignation
I think it's pretty easy to get a pay off from Gino. Such a control freak that he throws money at anyone to get rid the second he's had enough.
If he quit, legally no, unless he could claim constructive unfair dismissal eg owner was making decisions that were under his CEO job description. More likely that Gino has pulled the trigger and they are negotiating over formal exit date and severance package. It's not a redundancy situation so it's a bit more tricky for Gino....you can't just "sack" staff who have been employed > 2 yrs....they have employment rights.
Or maybe they are just having a good laugh about how well the “hell or high water” Beadle banter worked. Reading the forum “Gino check out this Jumbo geezer. Completely blown his pipes”.
Apparently Duxbury was sat with/near Gino on Wednesday. Anyone’s guess if true though. Where’s that Wendover guy making up lies about celebrating with Duxbury and being told about RWB’s, when you need him? He obviously sits nearby.
