You did a great game K, except for your latitudes...and some might add platitudes.
Splitters! The popular people's front of wolfwere
From a purely selfish point of view, I'd like a game in early October and one in late November Meh! If this can be arranged it would be ideal, but I appreciate it might be werewolf overload.
October is perfect for me to run it, co-run it, or be a willing and concentrated participant. I'd love either of the three.
Let's message after this one's over.
Ok, maybe you can do October as it's still rainy season in the Philippines so PO will be inside more to play, and I can do one in November when it's dry and he can go outside and play more...
Cool. yep, let's discuss after this one finishes.
Apologies for the absence last night, had a puppy emergency and rushed him to the 24 hour vet.
He was kept in over night for monitoring, glad to say he's much better and back to his usual attention demanding ways. Just waiting for the call to go and get him.
Didn't get a chance to vote, so will understand if I've been killed off.
You sure the vet wasn't Opti, Would explain a lot as hes probably catching on sleep.
Glad everything is alright.
Opti has already said that you will not be killed off, as you were active yesterday.
What are the odds that Opti was up all night helping your pup, and that is where he has gone today...
HE WAS A WOLF - GET HIM TEAM!
Nah you're alright. Opti was ok as we all participated enough so let you off. Hope the lil pupster's ok?
Hi guys sorry its been a crap day. I will put the post up this evening, and simply run the village all night and all day tomorrow. Sorry.
tbf i usually write the stuff the night before but i didnt get nighttime selections until 3am this morning so that was impossible.
Maybe an idea for the next one is having a drunken evening playing the game? I also like the sound of a village that doesn't close as well, just loses players.
Well as long as I had the right attitude...
I can tell you're overwhelmed with gratitude, but your statement leaves me wondering whether you particularly enjoyed my interludes. Your sentiments are muddied and devalued by your multitude of turpitude rhymes.
At the end of the day, I worked in servitude to the players, and if that's not good enough for you, you can shyte off.
Tell you what, a shoutbox type game would be good, instant feedback so you don't lose track.
I reckon leaving the village open 24 hours wouldn't really be a problem. As long as the votes and messages were still structured to a certain timescale then wouldn't be an issue to let the conversations continue as long as people care to. Although you'd perhaps find it more of a struggle where people would naturally have to disappear more because, life, so may feel more staggered.
I liked 352's tavern last year which allowed players to stay involved after hours without having to commit to gameplay.
Glad your pup's ok 'gags
A speed dating version. Messages voting and killing every hour
We could cram it all into a day !
That is actually a great idea!
So everyone thinks I was the backup seer (cannot confirm or deny obviously). I said yesterday I thought second message - saying Diamond was good - was from the seer. And yet he has three votes today, meaning at least one of the good players has voted to lynch him. Seriously?!!
Guys when a mod says the thread is closed you cannot post anymore.
The game continues!!!!
Oops, sorry. I consider myself rebuked :doom:
What a ridiculously difficult game this one has been to read.
Happy hornet I was not referring to you. More what happened tonight in day thread.
Oh, ok. I consider myself "unrebuked" :]]
Just curious where the rule says Guardians cannot protect themselves. Unless I am being quite blind and/or stupid (very possible) l can see nothing on it. The last game l was Guardian and asked for clarification of that same point from 352 and he said they could. If, as it appears, Diamond was relying on the fact that he could save himself (or have the potential to do so) then that is quite a game changer.
Either way it should definitely be clarified in time for the next game.
Edit: Having googled that question it still isn`t clear...about 60:40 stating the Guardian can`t protect himself. Clearly we need our own house rule one way or another as it has turned out to be pivotal in this game.
Sorry I have posted just now in the day thread. Very sorry.
As far as I'm away in our games the guardian has never been able to protect himself. You are correct it does need clarifying for future games. However one thing I would say is diamond outed himself as the guardian before I was able to provide clarification. He should have waited for a response to the email he sent me first really.
It made no difference as I never intended to protect myself, I was going to give the impression that I was, but as soon as the last vote went my way it was game over. Great day 4 considering how few players were left, top posting.
I'm back for a few minutes peeps. Sorry about the absences last night.
£4.50 for a 330ml can of Heineken in the place I was in. Absolute rip off. I bet they only paid about 50p for them!!! Bottle of Procecco for £30 but that seems a bit more respectable.
Not sure I understand the issue with whether the Guardian could or could not protect themselves? Even if Diamond did say he would save himself, that doesn't prevent him from a lynching, only a wolf kill, and from the voting it would never have got that far. Or am I missing something?
I'm off to the gym to run/sweat out the beer and Zinger Box meal from last night in a bit so if the village does open again today, I'll check in in about 2 hours or so.
Btw moves are afoot to ensure there is a cemetery for the next game.
Well if it's any consolation, my feeling was confirmed in Diamond being the Guardian.
Just as I was getting a handle on the game, I was killed (albeit for puppy related absence).
Gags, you weren't killed off for not voting that day - you were killed because one of the wolves picked you.
Was I? I thought it was the non-voting.
No. You're executed for not voting, not killed by a wolf like you were.
The cemetery is good for chatting about the game once dead. I was in it first night in my first game last year and it helped to see other peoples thinking to learn some tactics.
You guys must be chomping at the bit to talk about it!
“Well," said Pooh, "what I like best," and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called.”

Is the game still going or is the village in another period of extended mourning?
