Werewolf XVI: Day 5

On Monday, look at Philipine and Harrow. He's very dodgy with his "jesting" and "I'm bad at voting" schtick.

 

I don't think Moog is evil I think he's just experienced and comprehensive in his arguments.

Still unsure on Norn but have no evidence. My guess is that the first message is from a clever evil player. Do we get a 2nd message since all very good players are gone?

 

I can assure you, I have been just pure crap in this game and that is all.

Some of my posts where I make out I look stupid, has proved useful in the wolves not killing me each night I feel.

Whilst I want to win, I want to survive too. And now I'm apparently a suspect, I'm sure the wolves might leave me alone for another night.

 

I do not expect there to be another message today (which is a bit irritating as unless there is a deadline we'll all have to hold off our votes till right at the end which I can't really do today). This means that really all we have to go on is lynching moog. Still very torn what I think his role is but I don't see any other sensible option.

Just letting everyone know that like yesterday I'm off out now until 6pm (although I may be able to have a cheeky look on my phone now and again). Hopefully we have a second message by then at which point I will decide who to vote for, but as always we must base our votes on the messages and right now we have no other option but to vote for moog. At least it will clear up if the message is from the wolf or seer

 

From the rules thread:

"Extra Seers - Any extra seers will start the game thinking they are ordinary villagers. In the event that the first seer is killed then another seer will take their place, in order (Second, Third and so on). - note - third seers are very rare and are usually only recruited mid game if another seer is an inactive player"

Reading this I now believe the message was from a wolf. Unless it is an elaborate double bluff I am now thinking of keeping moog. He is a very important player as he points out the facts and keeps us using sense. I'm not sure who to vote for but perhaps this isn't a good idea... Who has been particularly anti-moog?

 

How about this? If there is a Seer and that isn't your message, please ensure you post your message asap. If you don't do that, we shall assume the message is from the Wolf. And they will have their own agenda of course. So that might even flush out a message from the Wolf if he hasn't yet posted and knows we won't take notice of the first message unless we get a second? Does that sound like a decent idea?

 

My biggest detractor has been Nairobi, but he is definitely good.

Cassetti's beard has also been pretty nasty to me, but I don't have any suspicions about him at all.

Harrow has been flip flopping all game. He goes wherever the wind seems to be blowing, but then he goes very full blooded with it, as if he's 100% convinced about it. He's very dodgy.

Philippine seems intent on casting random aspersions. I think he's done this in other games though, so could be that he's just a terrible player, but he's possibly not got the best interests of team good at heart.

I'd be very keen for the Seer to view Harrow 'Orn on Monday

The seer doesn't have to view Moog. Their choice. But the fact that there's a second post let's us know there's a seer. And puts the wolf into the dilemma that if they don't post (assuming they haven't already) that we won't listen to their claim that Moog is evil.

I get the feeling that one of the wolves is completely under the radar. Out of fairness I suppose I have to put myself in this category with people like wfcmatt, steve harrow, squibba...

These aren't accusations but just my 2 cents I guess. Certainly don't think we should lynch anyone random but I am having serious doubts that it is moog. But what other choice???

I very much doubt Harrow Orn is evil - it'll be a wasted vote if you go for him.

 

there does seem to be two sides or two groups developing here.

 

I'm just not sold on Moog but then I've been wrong about 3 times now.

I would love to have an alternative to vote for but... Even with your vast experience in this game I doubt you'd be able to construct a convincing argument to vote for someone else? Would love you to prove me wrong.

I am about 98% convinced that the message is from the wolf trying to lead us too getting rid of an experienced player. I'm almost of the thinking that we lynch someone random instead.

 

looking at old messages, there are some quiet villagers who do seem to be around at the time of the messages and then disappear.

Perhaps they need to take their dog for a walk or something

Well I wouldn't really. I am just looking for an alternative to moog - I've almost completely convinced myself that he is innocent, and I think we'd be in a better situation with moo's experience than without him. But I understand that with no clear evidence we can't really take the risk. Just think we are falling straight into the wolf's hand and basically writing off a day.

 

It's brutal here. What has happened to us?

 

I have to agree sadly. Although I think we're playing into the wolf's hands there doesn't seem to be anything else we can do today.

It's as good as game over for us without a Seer - especially with another Wolf being born tonight/over the weekend.

We have to get a Wolf tonight, Moog looks like an obvious choice - however, if the Wolf is saying he is evil, then it's either an extremely brave double bluff or, Moog is in fact a good guy or the extra Tinker.

I found this interesting - 6 minutes before the anon message as delivered.....

I translate this too....
A) I'm the new Seer, Moog is bad.
B) I'm the Wolf, we're going to get Moog - he's good
C) I'm the extra Wolf, we're going to get Moog and I'm pushing for him to be lynched.
D) Moog and PO are the Wolfs and they're trying an extremely brave double bluff knowing there's no Seer left.
E) Sacrificing a Wolf knowing a new one is on the way, PO votes/accuses Moog and we all think he's a good guy.
