Werewolf XVI: Day 10

It was so quiet in the village last night. The tavern remained shut. The village's mayor was absent in a different tavern in a different town (sorry).

It was so quiet in fact that no one had read the anonymous message that was left scrawled on a bit of paper in the village square. It said:

With merchandiseman dead and buried - all for nothing - there were just six villagers left. The choice for the wolf was between five dejected men, all at their wits' end.

The wolf was smiling as he grabbed his keys, mobile phone and wallet, leaving his house under the cover of night for the tenth time.

Meanwhile, the Guardian set off, heading towards Optimistichornet's house. The Guardian struggled to carry the half dozen cans of Red Bull he had bought in preparation for yet another sleepless night. He would be thankful for the rest over the weekend. He should've carried those cans in a plastic bag, but at this point he was near enough delirious.

The wolf arrived at his destination. He let himself in through one of the front windows, smashing a claw right through it. This woke up nornironhorn, who started coming down the stairs, cricket bat in hand.

"Good evening, sir." The wolf was smiling so wide. "So. You're a mason." nornironhorn scratched the sleep out of his eyes and yawned. "A mason... Thank you for this."

"Look, could you just get on with it?" Dropping the cricket bat, realising there'd be little point in putting up a fight against such an experienced opponent, norn took a deep breath.

"I'm running out of ideas... Ways to kill people, you know?" The wolf picked a few shards of glass from his claw. "I mean, I love killing. I just don't have the creativity to keep it interesting for ten straight days."

"Come on mate, here..." norn extended a hand, which the wolf took. "And now, the end is here..." norn was singing.

"And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain."

The wolf began to join in.

"I've lived a life that's full,
I traveled each and every highway."

The volume was rising, for that glorious line.

"And more, much more than this..."

The wolf raised a fist, and norn winced as the wolf's grin grew.

"I did it my..." *CRACK* The punch was devastating. The wolf had caved in norn's skull. He was dead in an instant.

"...way."

nornironhorn was GOOD.


The Guardian trudged home... again. "F*** this," he said out loud as he climbed down from Opti's roof.

So the wolf has killed for 10 straight days meaning it's the alpha wolf and Squibba was indeed the new wolf. Some small comfort to losing a definite good.

Looks like we are still at a choice of 1 in 3 for the rest of us.

I'm off hillwalking today so won't be around much until say 5-6pm. Will be back in time to vote but won't be too active from 10-5 or so

 

Ifwe can work out who the guardian has not saved it will narrow itdown further as we know im good, the other mason, and im not the guardian and havnt been saved. Lets look back at that and hopefully we will either get it down to 1/2 or a single person

 

Steve Harrow is the wolf.

 

Everyone has been saved except me and watford talk, I am good, so wt is the guardian, sonofben is the mason which leaves steve harrow and opti, I think I would like to hear from both but am leaning towards steve. Either way we will win tonight or on monday so team good will def win now!

 

So it comes down to this, Steve you have played a fantastic game matey but it's time to die Wolfie.

 

Going to be a hell of a job rebuilding the village as the only mason left.

 

The wolf knows I'm good so he wary of anyone making unfounded claims about me.

I can't stop you voting for me but if I'm lynched, point the fingers at those who arranged that when I'm declared good. Because I assure you I am not the wolf.

 

Well if it's not you it's opti so might as well get one of you tonight.

Given you've declared this lie as the truth (when you have nothing to go on because there is no evidence), I'm working on the assumption you know full well I'm good as the only wolf left is you.

At least I had a great hill walk whilst I was being stabbed in the back.

 

Lol desperate measures but it cant be wt as he has not saved himself. Weird vote steve which has won you mine, if u had gone opti I would still be unsure

Seeing as it's out in the open now, if you look back on my posts you'll see subtle clues I droppped from the start about my status as the Guardian.

Why are you assuming Son of Ben is the guardian? I believe the guardian can protect himself if he chooses.

And how do you work out good will definitely win? I think evil can still win unfortunately. The only certain good player is Son of Ben.

It's been a lot of fun guys and there's been some real shenanigans going on so fair play to both good and evil. And a very special thanks to 352 for running the game. So before this turns into an Oscar speech, I'm able to tell you that I am 100% good. Just a simple villager as usual. Got lucky with not being viewed or lynched (before now) but once again, I'm dead before the end. Ah well. Have fun without me!

Well opti has played a blinder then but good will win tomorrow

 

There will be the usual folk saying how they knew who everyone was all along... Without of course knowing at all.

I obviously made a mistake in not realising the guardian couldn't protect themselves but you did state I was the wolf and vote for me without any evidence. If you are indeed the guardian, then it seems Opti used that chance to jump on your bandwagon and do the same. Ah well

If you really are good, I apologise. It was between you and Opti and I went for you. Seems like good have this sown up anyway so from an unselfish point of view, you must be happy?

Guardian - The Guardian is a good character. Each night, the Guardian may choose one player to "save". If the wolf chooses to kill a player who has been saved then the kill is unsuccessful and the wolf does not achieve a kill that night (the wolf is held up battling the guardian). However, the Guardian may only choose each player once throughout the whole game. If a player has already been chosen by the Guardian previously, they cannot be chosen again.

During the day the Guardian partakes in play just as a regular villager would.

 

im just keen to clear things up here, because at the moment you are making an absolutely fatal mistake come Monday! if you vote for me EVIL will win!

absolutely none of you, me or Nairobi are cleared at the moment!

 

edit, scratch that. Nairobi is cleared by the messages. You and I however are not! I know for a fact that I am a villager.

 

Fair play to you to check the rules rather than rely upon someone just claiming something to be true.

im really really sorry steve if you turn out to be good. ive got this horrible feeling that Watford talk has tried to stitch both of us up!

 

If watford talk is saved tonight, he is the guardian. That will settle it for me as the only other person who can be saved is me so guardian save me if it's not watford talk and I will know tomorrow as I am confirmed good

 

If I am allowed to save myself, I will do so. If not, I'll be saving Nairobi as the only other option.

Well who would have thought it will come down to a last day shoot out. I will be reading the threads over the weekend to check, that is if I am still alive.....
