It's Hobson's choice. Either lynch Cude, who on probability is possibly good, or lynch a person at random and then tomorrow, we'll end up wondering about Cude again, along with anyone else who is implicated by the messages.

 

But the first message was in very early, what if Cude got it in ASAP before his exam knowing he won't be around much? Playing devils advocate but all bases have to be covered.

 

True but that's only assuming he's the alpha wolf.

 

That would be something we've never seen before, but as such an experienced player would he risk all on day 1 not knowing if the Seer would then take a closer look? The best wolves in past games always stay under the radar as long as possible, especially early doors, something experienced players would know well.

 

I take it all the roles were selected randomly again this year?

 

to be fair Squibba both messages came in pretty close together . I still think the only sensible course of action at the moment is to vote for Darave or Cude .

Hello folks. I'm inclined to begrudgingly suggest that cude is our better option. Lynching darave will still leave the doubt over cude whereas lynching cude doesn't tell us much about darave.

We are always blind for the first few days of the game.

 

Afternoon all.

Like a few others, my gut feeling when reading the messages was that the first was from the seer and the second from the wolf. That said, the better (not perfect but better than totally random) odds are that Cude is evil. And as said above, the wolf could have picked a fellow wolf without knowing anyway.

I'll wait to see more posts and arguments before deciding later though.

 

I'll have to vote before 6 tonight and tomorrow, as a heads up.

 

Based on probabilities, both named are in all likelihood good.

Darave, buoyed by last year's success may well have named himself if he was the alpha wolf...possible but still not probable.

We do have to start somewhere and I think cude is going to have an unlucky start to the game as there is no viable alternative as of now.

One person is acting very differently to previous years.....I am wondering if anybody else has picked up on it yet.

 

Good afternoon everyone. Just read through the thread so far. Its clearly going to be between darave and cude today, and at the moment for pretty much the reasoning moog stated in post 49 it logically makes most sense to go for Cude today. I'll refrain from voting however until he has a chance to defend himself. Saying that to me I think most likely the first message is the seer and the second is the wolf, so we would likely be lyncing a good player but with it being the first day there's no real alternative which is a shame.

Worth noting that the second message was only posted a minute after the 1st, so I presume whoever sent the second message believed theirs would be the first message and wouldn't have seen the other message before writing their own, hence why different players were mentioned.

Anyway, what's with all this malarkey about a football match tonight? I might find time tonight to put down my guitar and take part in the kick-about, so count me in!

Lovely. I have just got in from my first exam (next one is tomorrow between 10 and 1:15 for clarity) and in fact the exam was rather awful. I even threw up half way through.

Now I log in here and think "Ah werewolf will relax me down". Then I get accused of being evil.... great, my day could only get worse if those gypsies down the M1 somehow got fast tracked to the Premiership.

More surprisingly is the message was from a wolf accusing me - usually there's only one person to accuse me first and that's VoR.

I think Darave is good as the first would be from the Seer, though unfortunately that would mean I'm the target for lynching. For arguments - I can't do or say much as it's day 1, but the law of odds - How many times have I been a wolf previously!?

Good afternoon! I've just got back from a job interview, I guess that's what happens when the brothel you own starts losing business.

As many have already stated, there is not much to go on here, as with previous first days in other games. I think the second message is the wolf though, not that it will help us too much just yet.

 

I'll take part in the football match to please. I say a minutes applause for Nic is in hand before it to.

 

I propose no second chances for anyone who doesn't contribute a significant amount.
