Unfortunately I think giving Mike the option to take someone down with him did give a massive advantage to the good team. Up until that point the game was very in the balance.

Still great game otter, thanks for moderating.

I don't think so. Even without Moog laying traps there was still a fine line between HH24 and Tom yesterday getting put forward until WAS flagged themselves a bit.

We could've still gone wrong if everyone joined Sinatra lynching HH early today.

What a game! Even at the end it was still pure chaos!

At that point you had 2 masons, the guardian and the seer still active. Good should have walked home and they more or less did.

Agree to an extent, but then again Mike was a big advantage to team evil as was Moog's role, so evil had a decent advantage to begin with

Agree with this - having two evil players viewed as good definitely gave evil the upper hand. We were lucky in the end that two masons were still alive.

At the beginning of yesterday of the 9 remaining players only tonycotonstache was just an ordinary villager, everyone else had a role of some kind.

There was only one evil viewed as good.

Yes - I meant two “incorrect” views (you and norn)

Keys should now have been given out. Let me know if you can't access.

The actual Seer only viewed me incorrectly. Norn as evil was a village idiot "viewing."

Moog you’re being pedantic lol. The point I’m making is that - whoever made them - Team Good had two incorrect viewings going against them, in addition to the wolf’s messages. One made by the Seer and one made by someone who genuinely thought they were the Seer.

The wolf named moog evil and went for the beta wolf one night only for the guardian to protect him.
  14. HappyHornet24

    HappyHornet24 Crapster Staff Member

Not only did I protect him, I thought at that point he might be the Seer.
  15. wfcmoog

I didn't mean it to be pedantic, just that figuring out which of the messages are from the genuine Seer is always part of the game.

Evil had one wolf taken out in day one and then I was taken out having not been identified. You only had to find 2 wolves, one of whom was leading you to him with his messages and game play plus one who, by that point was nearly the only one who wasn't seer, guardian or Mason.

Having said that, the end game was somewhat made by you defending 2 people at night and reducing the number of goods killed by the wolves.

Not to mention using one of his trademark grammatical errors in his anonymous message on Day 3.

Did you slip on Day 1 when you said 'one of the inactive players is a wolf' when there were still 3/4 left to post?

No. I was just trying to throw **** at the wall

If Opti had killed Ashdon, surely it still would have been close, especially with Sinatra's very unpredictable early votes?
  20. wfcmoog

    wfcmoog Tinpot

Yeah but he didn't. As it was, there were 3 players on team good who knew something about other players' identities. Together they had to get Opti.

Always find the psychology of werewolf fascinating. As soon as you think you've spotted something, it's very hard to override that and you start to convince yourself that someone might be Evil.

Similarly, it's really hard when someone starts accusing you to not immediately leap to thinking they're evil.

Would be interesting to play in real life where there are instant reactions and you can see body language.

Well reading those roles makes a lot more sense.

I was literally so wound up on Friday evening by the time the final vote came in. I was so close to outing myself as Seer there and then when it looked like a very real possibility that the group decided to lynch Norn.

It was a sheer stroke of fortune for Good that I did not know what to do on Monday that I waited sufficiently long enough for the miked/moog duel to happen before electing who to view.

Player roles (12 good, 4 evil)

    Seer = Ashdon, Guardian = HH24, Village Idiot = miked2006
Masons = Tom, Sinatra & Horace
Ordinary villagers = Tonycoton, Norn, Burnsy, Dom, SLB and Cthulhu

Wolves = Harrow (Alpha), WaS (Beta), Opti (Gamma)
    Reverse tinker/traitor = moog

The last game on a desert island gave me the idea of moving away from a village but travelling on foot through the desert to get to the world cup

Wouldn't have gallows in the desert, so a mason using a frying pan would do.

Admittedly evil was too strong for 16 players, I had hoped for at least 2 more, it would have been a bit fairer from the outset. Harrow not participating on Day 1 and getting lynched solved the problem.

    Day 1:

Seer (viewing Norn) & VI (Ashdon [seer], spun HEADS=good) viewed at a similar time and messaged shortly after.
    No wolf message.
    Lynched Harrow (Alpha) for non-participation.

    Night 1:

WaS > Dom (villager), Opti > Burnsy (villager)
    Guardian > SLB (villager)

    Day 2:

VI first (viewing Norn, spun TAILS=evil) & messaged
Wolf messaged moog (traitor) as evil
Seer (viewing moog (reverse tinker)) & messaged good.
    Lynched Cthulhu (villager)

    Night 2:

    WaS > Opti (wolf)
    Opti > Horace (mason)
    Guardian saved Opti (wolf)

    Day 3:

VI (viewing moog, spun HEADS=good) & messaged
Wolf messages SLB (villager) as good
Seer (viewing tonycoton (villager)) as good.
    Lynched Norn (villager)

    Night 3 / weekend

    WaS > SLB (villager)
    Opti > Ashdon (seer)
    Guardian saved Ashdon (seer)

Due to evil getting very fortunate that the seer viewed moog good and overall advantage that evil had despite guardian playing well, I decided to amend miked's role a bit.

    Day 4:

Offered miked a take it or leave it option, choose an evil and shoot them or choose a good and shoot the traitor, caveat was he was to die too. This I thought was best option to bring balance.
Offer taken, he choose Sinatra (mason), so took mike (VI) and moog (traitor) out of the game.
    Seer viewed Sinatra (mason)
Wolf messaged Tom (mason) as good.
    Lynched WaS (wolf)

    Night 4:

    Opti > Sinatra (mason)
    Guardian saved Sinatra (mason)

    Day 5:

Opti knew game was up, messaged himself as "unbelievably" good!
Seer viewed HH24 (guardian) as good
    Lynched Opti (wolf)

    All evils gone.

You and everyone else raises concerns about my gameplay. Bear in mind I was desperately trying to get a seer viewing in the first 2 days.
