Paranoia had well and truly gripped the village at this point, hardly anyone knew what was going on and who was responsible. The villagers had started to congregate less with some resorting to drastic measures such as boarding up their homes hoping that they would live through this desperate time.

In the densest parts of the woods east of the village, not far from his house, Otter was at the illegal still he had set up many moons ago. It was a wide kept secret that some of the pubs in the local area would stock Otter's hooch as long as everyone got their cut.

There was a problem with this though, tonight the alcohol would need to be transferred to the barrels otherwise it would spoil. Spoilt hooch is good to know one and Otter knew this. He had to go tonight or risk his venture with the local publicans.

Just after sun set, Otter set out for the woods with a cricket bat for his protection. After all in these times you don't know who you will run into. He crept slowly through the woods pausing at intervals just to make sure he wasn't being followed by man or beast.

After half hour or so he arrived at his destination, a mishmash of sheds purposefully built to be a hidden still. Otter left the cricket bat by the rickety door and headed inside. Everything was working as it should, the butane burner was aflame heating up the depleted mash to extract the last traces of alcohol. His business partner must have been in earlier as a new bottle of gas had been hooked up. The demijohn at the other end of the various pipes and contraptions was near enough full to the brim with the hooch that now needed to be aged for several weeks.

Otter carefully removed the pipe from the top of the vessel before plugging it with a cork and replacing with an empty jug. He carried the heavy bottle to the aging section of the shack and went to retrieve a prime jug of hooch to divide into bottles for the village.

The door flew open with an enormous bang startling Otter.
"Who's there?!" Otter called out to the intruder peeking at the door. No answer came.

He could hear heavy throaty, breathing emanating from outside the shack. He paused weighing up his actions, his cricket bat was too far away and all he had was his precious liqour in his hands. Otter inched his way to the door back pressed against the wall.

He was three foot away from the door when the wall behind him imploded in shards of wood and splinters. The burner had been knocked to the floor still lit causing a small fire. That was the least of Otters worries. The beast was on him swiping with monstrous paws at him gouging chunks from his flesh. Otter tried to fight back bit the beast was too strong.

The fire began to spread and before you knew it virtually the entire shack was a blaze. The beast sensing the danger of the flame stopped the relentless assault and fled with a yelp.

Otter lay there laughing, he had survived somehow. He struggled free from the debris inside the shack and crawled towards the doorway, his legs had been savagely attacked and he was losing a lot of blood but he knew that if he could get outside he may have a chance.

Unfortunately for Otter the fire was quicker than he was and had now reached both the gas bottles and demijohns of alcohol.

    It was too late.

    ******************************
It was the middle of the night when the entire village was rudely awoken by a massive explosion deep in the woods. Cthulhu fell out of bed and rushed to the window to see what was going on. Half of the woods was engulfed in flames and there was a dirty smoke column drifting towards the village.

Anxiously, Cthulhu ventured downstairs to find something to calm himself down. He knew exactly what would, a bloody Mary.

As he reached the foot of the stairs everything appeared at first glance normal. Taking this as a sign he made his way to the small kitchen at the back of the house and got the blender out.

Reaching up to the top shelf Cthulhu retrieved the vodka and Tabasco and began pouring into the blender before heading to the fridge to get the Big Tom he had bought the previous day. With a flick of the switch the blender noisily burst into life mixing the drink in seconds.

Due to the noise Cthulhu didn't hear the back door creak open nor the heavy padding feet sneak in. He only realised he was not alone when he felt the hot breath on his neck along with the stench of wet dog.

Without looking, Cthulhu gripped the handle of the blender jug and swung with all his might catching the creature off guard. The jug caught the wolf on the left side of its face showering both it and Cthulhu in delicious Bloody Mary. The beast swung a heavy paw at Cthulhu knocking him onto the the still whirring blade of the blender. The blade severed his jugular and carved chunks out of his neck.

Cthulhu grasped at his neck in a vain effort to stop the bleeding but it was frivolous. Moments later he was dead.

The beast, having now recovered from the spicy blow to the head, began to feast upon the corpse in front of it.

    ************************************

    Otter and Cthulhu were good.

    Morning folks we are open.

Grrwood has been found evil by the seer.

As pretty much everyone said yesterday, Grrwood has to go.

    Voted Grrwood.

Morning all RIP Otter and Cthulhu. So we have lost another two good players and our Seer - although the write up suggested we have a back up which is good news. I am leaving in 10 mins and then not back until late morning so thought I would throw out my thoughts before I leave - not that they're worth anything, given my mess up yesterday. So we still have two wolves left and possibly a traitor - so definitely two, maybe three, evil players left. Obviously, we have to lynch grrwood which will get rid of a wolf/traitor. So then we're left with either one or two evil players out of the 6 of us left. I don't think, usually, you can assume that good players necessarily vote the right way and evil players the wrong way. However, of the 4 players who voted for Grrwood, 3 are dead and the other one is miked, who consistently tried to persuade us to vote the correct way. Although my instincts have not served me well so far in this game, I am reasonably sure that miked is good.
Which leaves: Daft Row, me, Horace, Hornetgags and Opti. I am definitely not a wolf. I know that I am good, but have not been confirmed as such officially. No one left has. I am reluctant to voice my suspicions as I have not played that well so far, but the two early voters yesterday caused my eyebrows to raise. I don't understand why Hornetgags voted for himself, if he is a normal "good" villager, when yesterdays vote was so critical. Nor do I get why Daft Row voted so early - although I do get that this is a bit hypocritical of me, since I also voted the wrong way.
Anyway, let's get on with lynching Grrwood today!

Well it's simple today, one of the wolfs and the traitor will have to sacrifice one of the wolfs or risk outing themselves.

Popped back between school run and going back out. One thought. I hope Grrwood is a wolf and not the traitor - otherwise we've still got two wolves out there. If we do have a back up Seer, I hope Harnetgags is on their radar.

It’s unlikely that gags is evil. Enough people went for the illogical option yesterday, that it probably contained all 3 evils.

If you’re inexperienced at this game, you need to follow the players that have been proven good. It is only their word you can trust.

You need to look at the players who are supporting them and they are more likely good. You need to find the players discrediting them, as they are likely evil.

As we now know that NI was the seer. We need to look carefully at who he pointed suspicion at, and who was trying to discredit him (especially experienced players).

In my eyes, Opti and HH are the key suspects.

Coming from the person who was most fiercely trying to stop people killing NI yesterday:

If there is a seer, they need to view Opti or HH24.

    Good morning Villagers ,
I am your new Seer. Team good need to pick up there game. We know Grrwood is evil and must be lynched - so ring that bell fast and loud to gather the mob.
Using logic and vision, I can confirm both Hornetgags & Daft Row are good.

    Hello villagers,
Your new seer here. Obviously we know that priority number 1 is to lynch Grrwood today. This morning I have taken a look at Hornetgags and they are evil, we must remember this for tomorrow.

Why would the seer view Gags first?!

We know that it’s certain that two, and very likely all three, evils, will have voted to kill our seer.

Why would you listen to HH24 (who led the charge to kill our seer) and view someone who didn’t vote to lynch our seer?

It’s like saying: I know the murderer plays for Watford, so I’m going to start looking for the killer at the Middlesbrough training ground.

It makes zero sense and I officially hate this game.

Morning guys, we know what we must do today.

  12. Afternoon All,

Bloody hell - sorry Norn and team good, I genuinely didn't have the time to catch up on a lot of yesterday so was relying on reading other peoples arguments to help me vote.

This morning is obviously a no-brainer so I don't need to read anything to cast my day vote.

Afternoon will be hectic until about 3.30pm so if you want to start another round then I'm happy to do so but please bear with me.

    Cheers

Back and catching up - although not much to catch up on besides the two messages.
Miked, I do understand why you're suspicious of me and I'm also quite flattered as you seem to think I'm much better at this game than I am in reality. I did vote the wrong way although I think it's harsh to say I "led the charge". I made a mistake. Five people in total voted the "wrong" way. A maximum of three can be evil so two made a genuine mistake. I was one of them. Also, you're not a "guaranteed" good yourself remember (although I am about as sure as I can be that you are).
I don't think Hornetgags is a wolf - it makes no sense, if a fellow evil has been named, to draw attention to yourself. If you are the traitor, however, this does make sense - especially since Gags voted so early on yesterday, before it was clear which way the vote was going. I thought he might be trying to draw attention - and votes - away from whoever the evil character was (we now know it was Grrwood), to give him another night to kill. In this scenario, Grrwood would be a wolf and Gags the traitor.
I'm sorry but, for me, the first message doesn't make sense. If it's from the backup Seer, how on earth can they confirm that "using logic and vision" Hornetgags and Daft Row" are good. The Seer can only view one player and this implies neither player has actually been viewed?!

As far as I can tell, the first vote for Norniron was from Daft Row, so had he survived makes sense he would have viewed him next.

Sorry busy morning. My vote basically meant nothing but I voted for Grrwood as I said i would. I don't quite understand why the seer would view hornetgags? Surely HH24, horace or myself all make better viewing targets.

The wolves know each other. The traitor knows the wolves.

We know that at least the 2 wolves, but very likely all 3 of evil, voted for NI.

Statistically, picking someone who voted to kill NI will give you a better a chance of getting a wolf than voting for someone who didn't.

There is no point deviating from those odds, especially as we have to kill wolves ASAP to win this game. Traitors can wait.

    All votes are in.

I'm going to say my piece in case I am killed tonight.

I am an experienced werewolf player. I was right about NI Orn being good, who was our seer (the most important Good player in the game). Evil players will have known that he is evil and voted to get rid of him. Good players would have been more likely to vote to get rid of Evil (and thus voted for Grr)

As an experienced player, you learn to trust the people who push for the good players to survive, and don't trust the players that push for the evil ones to survive.

The evil players very likely will have teamed up to get rid of our seer. There are three names who I am particularly suspicious of, all of whom killed our seer.

Tomorrow, if the backup seer is alive, they should look at HH24 or Opti. If not, team Good need to vote for them. Both of them were pushing for our seer to be killed. Both of them missed key clues that would have kept our seer alive despite both of them being experienced at the game. Both avoided answering key questions that would have kept NI Orn alive.

Finally, if you have killed these two players and there is one Evil left, I think Daft Row has also been pretty suspicious. He kicked off the voting early yesterday to get rid of our seer. This is potentially what one of team evil would do, knowing that a wolf had been outed through the messages.

Regarding today's messages, I think it is more likely that the seer went first, as the wolf would wait to see if a backup seer was selected. I also think that hornetgags is more likely to be Good than Evil, as it is more likely that the traitor would copy the wolves when voting. Statistically, you should go for someone who voted for NI. So I would not kill hornetgags tomorrow. To me, I think someone is trying to frame Gags. The person pointing at Gags is HH24.

If you don't believe me about going for HH24, Opti or DR, then look at NI's posts from yesterday. He has been confirmed Good and had the most amount of insight in the game. He's the most trustworthy person in the game.

Good luck tomorrow (if we get that far) team Good.

I can see why you think those of us who voted the wrong way yesterday (including myself) are suspicious but I slightly take umbrage at the comment in bold. That assumes that everyone knows whether or not they're pushing for a "good" or "evil" person to survive. The only person who knows that is a traitor - &, in this game now, the Wolves. Everyone else is doing their best with limited information. You are a very good player - not all of us are as good as you! I made a genuine mistake yesterday but can see why that puts me in the spotlight. However, I don't think my suspicion of Hornetgags should do so. If he is the traitor, then absolutely he would have diverted the voting at an early stage yesterday - he may not have actively voted for nornironhorn to go but he took a vote away from Grrwood at a critical time.

As for the possible Seer viewing of Hornetgags today, I agree - maybe a viewing of one of those of us who voted for NI may have made more sense if you think one of us might be the Wolf and Gags more likely to be the traitor. However, I was the Seer in the last game and can tell you that, at a critical point of the game like this, you just want to nail one of "Team Evil". You don't think in terms of Wolf vs Traitor, you think in terms of the risk of getting it wrong and viewing a "good" villager at a time when it is critical to find an "evil". So, on balance, I do think Gags is one of Team Evil.

It had been carnage. The week had started out like many before it. But that changed as soon the ritual had been completed and the beasts were unleashed.

Only seven villagers remained after the bloodshed. They all agreed to meet by the village green as they believe they had a lead.

Miked stood defiantly at the bandstand with Norway's sword in front of him point down towards the ground. The remaining villagers crowded round bandstand waiting for the revelation to be revealed.

Quiet murmuring broke out until Mike held up his hand for silence.
"We know there is a big bad wolf amongst the seven of us, today their reign of terror will end." Mike declared to the rest of the villagers.
"Daft Row, Opti. As we discussed." Mike continued.

Daft Row and Opti strode forward chains and manacles in hand and grabbed Grrwood. They dragged Grrwood up the steps to where Mike was standing before cuffing him and attaching the chains to the frame. The three of them stripped down Grrwood, revealing a fresh burn on his right leg.

They backed away off the platform leaving Mike and Grrwood alone. Mike hefted the blade up into the air and swung the sword at Grrwood. The blade connected with Grrwood's torso leaving a deep cut that began to bleed. A bestial cry emitted from his lips as his hands started to morph into claws. Panicking Mike drove the blade through Grrwood's heart killing him.

    Grrwood was evil.

    Game two coming up shortly

Thanks for reminding me that you have been seer before.

These are two posts you made as seer last year. You have deliberately made them consistent. You cannot feign ignorance here. You know that, as seer, you try to keep the style consistent so that the good villagers can recognise which post comes from whom.

Here are two seer posts made last year:

Anonymous Message #1 (received at 9:43) Confirmed seer*

This is your seer. It is a sad day in our village - RIP Otter. I am not going to play mind games waiting for the wolf to post as Day 1 is always tricky. The first viewing is always random so I decided to view a traditionally active player to see if they are a force for good or evil. The player in question is NorwayHornet who is GOOD. Sorry this doesn't help much regarding who to lynch but it was always unlikely that we would find an evil player this early.
    Stay Safe Everyone.
    Your Seer.

Anonymous Message #1 (received 13:24) Confirmed seer*

    Afternoon Villagers,

This is your seer. Sorry for the delay. It is another sad day in our village - RIP Diamond and Chutlhu. Day one was tricky, as it always is. Hopefully things will become a little clearer today. I wrote the first message yesterday and I viewed NorwayHornet who is GOOD. Today, I decided to view one of the quieter players who has had the finger of suspicion pointed at him. I viewed Daft Row, who is also GOOD.
    Steer clear of danger everyone.
    Your Seer.

    ...

So basically, you knew that the seer should stay consistent as you were consistent yourself.
