Have just heard from a reliable contact that Liverpool recently confirmed a sizeable bid for Sarr, which is not a surprise, however we told them his injury would keep him out until March, so fortunately they have signed an expensive replacement.
Doesn't sound right - Luis Diaz is a left-winger and as such is considered to be a long-term Mane replacement/rotation option. Would Liverpool really have been wanting to pay a load of money for a winger like Sarr to play on the flank which he hardly ever plays? If their priority was really Sarr but they didn't want to wait, then they surely would have signed a right-winger instead if he wasn't available.
No reason for clubs (other than desperate relegation rivals like Newcastle) to push for him now. Potentially dodgy knee and everyone knows we'll listen in the summer when they know how healthy he is.
They won’t come in for him until he is cheap I.e. until we are certainly relegated. Then they’ll offer 15m and ask him to push for a move.
Burnsy has regularly provided advance information to myself and others that is always 100% accurate, so I don’t doubt this is true.
