Is there anywhere I can listen to you expand this sort of wisdom, over an hour or so of banter and chat?
Am I the only one who finds these ‘ironic’ posts incredibly tiresome? They are equivalent of dad jokes to this forum. I think they might have been clever about 5 years ago , but why not exited a real Opinion about something.
It's speculation, but I can't believe that the players we've seen over the past few years suddenly decided they were desperate to leave. I understand that we weren't able to agree terms for an extension, but it seems to me that the Pozzos take that as unacceptable and that there's no way back once a player refuses to protect their resale value, rather than the player driving the issue.
Am I the only one who finds people critiquing the posting style of people they disagree with tiresome? By all means post your opinions on the topic but going after people because they don't share your world view is a bit of a waste of time. Especially GD who's in the top 3 best posters on here.
A controversial yet fully accurate view. You've put yourself in the firing line though. I'm sure the forum version of 'The Nasty Boyz' will be along shortly to accuse us of being related, in a relationship or the same person. Or all three at the same time.
So, you're criticising (not critiquing) someone for criticising someone? (And "world view" - really?).
Am I the only one who finds people telling other people what they can and can’t express an opinion on, on a public Internet forum tiresome . ( I probably am ). I’ll take your word for it that he/she /they is/are one of the best posters on here. That is entirely subjective.
I don’t think they were anything special . They didn’t create a huge amount despite loads of possession and missed a couple of decent chances . We helped them a lot by putting the ball in the net for them .
You wait until you break down the 2nd goal. At the point when the ball goes in I think we have 7 players in the box, 4 who are between the 6yrd line to the penalty spot watching
We have a decent squad but on the pitch it all seems a bit muddled and ineffective. Bachmann isn’t doing himself any favours and looks shaky. When Sarr is sulking he disappears. Dennis is better through the middle.
Were they not clean through twice and also missed a free header on 6 yard box. That plus 2 goals seems pretty good work for an away team.
Well that was *****, looked like the players didn't really know what their tactics/instructions were.
Half of wolves outfield players started in the semi v none of ours - I thought they had a settled team whereas ours looked like they had just met each other. Sure it was poor and got worse as the game went on and maybe tactically Munoz fell well short yesterday but bar Sarr the starting midfield and “ attack” have had no real game time yet
As much as I agree with you here, that is exactly what isn't on our side. Time. We have to fix this issue sooner rather than later or it will turn into pre Pearson 19/20 all over again. Xisco has x-amount of days between matches to sort a system out that works better and get the players communicating. 1-3-2-4 or whatever that formation was yesterday clearly isn't working. Whether Xisoc is vocal enough to drill a new psych into the players is yet to be seen. Maybe we need another player rally from Troost.
Why do we persist in passing across the back only for an eventual 50 yard cross field hoof from Troost to nobody? We may as well hoof it early ,at least the oppo aren't set and we may have a chance to get at them with our pace. So deflated by yesterdays performance. Next two games crucial for our season even though we are just four games in.
I guess all these teams do it but as you say rarely works as the passing isn't quick or sharp them we just wack the ball up for a defence that are ready and waiting.
The other thing about Dennis through the middle, is the partnership that looked to be developing between him and Sarr. They combined countless times against Villa and seemed to have a good understanding of who was coming short, and who would attack the space behind.
The goals that we are conceding are poor each week we are putting ourselves in the **** conceding stupid goals. Agaisnt Villa Massina gives the most stupid penalty away for a pathetic and lazy tackle, Then at Brighton Troost-Ekong passes them the ball at the back, Baachmans goalkeeping error against Spurs cost the team a deserved point and yesterday Sierralta heads into his own goal under very little pressure.
Some WD18 chap on Twitter has 11 positive points about the game including “Bachmann looked solid”!! I’m looking forward to seeing a performance that he isn’t impressed by I must say
Totally disagree. Villa showed that Sarr and Dennis play really well together (though Dennis needs to go to the near post when Sarr is about to cross), so Dennis needs to be in the middle. King isn't a winger, which is why he had to be subbed. Cucho is best on the wing, so why the constant swapping of the front three after these changes were made?
Someone, preferably Dennis, needs to go to the near post for Sarr's low crosses. It would be nice if the coach told him that.
WTE can't pass, so he's now doing the safety-first pass to Sierralta. So most of our attacks went down the left, through Dennis who isn't a winger, while our danger-man on the right saw too little of the ball.
His failure to come for crosses reminds me of table football goalkeepers who can only move left and right along the line .
One on One save was impressive no matter how you dismiss it and held some firm shots, the header was very good. But as discussed to death his command of the area is now becoming a prominent issue and is beginning to cost us points which is a hard line issue. But would you swap that for a keeper who comes for everything to a point where he would end up missing them completely and is a worse distributor? Shot stopping is of equal standard between them as Foster has regressed there, especially facing low shots. Neither keeper are of a PL standard but I'd rather give game time to a keeper who can potentially improve with it than regress regardless and hope more games help him flesh out that side of his game.
