    I wondered that. Surely he’s not 10 yards so it’s a retake.

Wasnt trying to compare the 2 situations, just to highlight that a change in direction or financial input after stagnation can generate great enthusiasm and fundamentally turn things around.
I can remember our double relegation all too painfully, just 19800 turned up for our first 3rd tier game against Gillingham, now we suddenly attract an extra 10k from somewhere.
I know a lot of people are bitter about Fosun putting money into our club, understandably as it gives us an advantage over other similar sized clubs. But you still have to make it work, and Watford certainly did with the Udinese connection., though again I am not implying the financial input was similar to that of Fosun.
The comparison is that people think Neves, Moutinho and Jota were too good at the time for Wolves, and only attracted by Mendes. But it was because they were in the reserves or at the end of their career. I reckon Patricio is the biggest coup, but I am afraid he is as prone as benjamin Foster to error despite being a fine shot-stopper. The Portuguse link is critical to us, if Nuno decides to call it a day, things could well go bellies-up.

Other fans are always jealous when team start doing well because of an influx of money or better owners. Blacknburn have done it, Fulham with the Harrods fella and obviously now Man City. The first year we under The Pozzo ownership we had a large number of loans from Udinese and Granada. There was nothing wrong with it but because we did well it was mentioned as being an unfair advantage. We don't have the money that Wolves do but we do have a very astute owner and and an excellent scouting network. Were The Pozzo's to leave I would suggest we would be in trouble. Currently Wolves have a fair bit of cash to spend and agent that has provided them with some excellent players. What I find surprising is Moutinho and Jota were in teams reserves as they look excellent and any team could have tried to sign them but mainly because of the agent they went to Wolves. I can see Jota leaving at some point for a bigger team. I'm not sure Nuno leaving would be the end of the world but if the owners packed up it might be different.
Both teams though have a bright future currently and long may it continue although maybe not Wolves.
Next season will be tough for both teams as expectation will be much higher and that is going to make it difficult. From my point of view, every season the first target will be survival and if done early enough you can look further ahead to the top half, Europe or a cup run. Finishing top 10 does not guarantee further success as you only have to look at West Brom who I think finished 8th the season before they went down
Despite are recent wobble we've had an excellent season but I think the cup final has played on the players minds hence the downturn in form

He was unmasked in Wolverhampton, somewhat ironically.

from Wiki: In December 2012, Kendo Nagasaki appeared in the BBC documentary "Timeshift — When Wrestling Was Golden: Grapples, Grunts and Grannies". He remained silent, and the programme also featured clips of him wrestling and the famous "unmasking" ceremony in Wolverhampton, 1977. The programme was repeated on BBC Four on 15 July 2013 and 10 June 2015.

How much has the scouting network really benefitted us though?

Richarlison was a diamond in the rough, we brought in from Brazil and cashed in on quickly afterwards, though he was apparently on the radar of multiple European clubs. Arguably it was our decisive action, rather than superior scouting, which brought him in.

Most of our other important players were well known.

Most of our "scouting" projects have been abject failures from the Lowland Leagues.

    Prove me wrong.
