    Football eh?

Incredible performance, Utd are an utter joke.

What a player Dennis is, hassles, wins the ball, never stops running and has quality too.

Wonderful team performance. Everyone deserves credit.

Louza showing his class in midfield, keeping the ball and distributing it. Nkoulou so comfortable at the back and Dennis running Manure ragged once again. Thoroughly deserved. Great fillip for the team and players. Must keep building on this. Hope Sarr is fine.

Very emotional for the Pedro goal as well. Bye bye Ole unfortunately. What surprised me most was seeing how long some of the sad plastics stayed. Has to be a record for them. Awww...... Only a short journey to go home and cry themselves to sleep under their Ronaldo duvets.

Well done to the club and supporters for remembering Kevin Norman as well on the hour. RIP lad.

Don't quite know what to say, other than that I am decidedly not scratching my eyes. For long periods that was the best performance of the season by a mile and we actually looked like a team with a plan. Nkoulou went off and WTE was clearly worse, but we still managed to keep our heads (mostly) and not only hold on but eventually go up through the gears again and thrive. We fully deserved that result, and I think this might actually force the Utd board's hand.

Lovely to see four distinct attackers score, and for JP to get that confirmatory goal is amazing to see - clearly from his reaction and celebration it meant a great deal to him, presumably with his stepfather in mind.

At the start of the season I predicted Dennis would flatter to deceive and play less than a thousand minutes. I obviously could not have been more wrong, which I'm very happy to admit. He's been a revelation, and I think we might even lose him before we lose Sarr if it carries on this way. Louza brought something no other midfielder has so far, so my prediction that he would lead us to victory and be crowned King Imran I came nicely to pass. Moussa Sissoko has gradually become absolutely vital to us, and along with Dennis has to be the signing of the summer - he is the adult in the room, tireless, carries the ball so well, and brings the leadership in the middle of the park that we desperately needed. King should also be noted for being an actual centre forward who can play as a centre forward, never stopped hassling them and worked tirelessly as well as with quality - manna from heaven for a Watford fan that we've been deprived of for years.

Credit to both Femenia and Masina - they looked like competent players at this level, and Masina must have cemented himself as the current first choice at left back now. It's amazing what actual coaching, tactical instruction and set-up can do to a player, and to think we have come from what we were under Xisco at Newcastle or Leeds to this is enormous testimony to Papa Clau.

    What a performance

Dennis what a player , but to be fair today everybody looked good, never seen our players run and around and press so much. Our tackling was superb , passing a bit sloppy (lucky for Man U) but you could see the plan.

Watching Ronaldo getting wound up was magnificent, reminds me of when we destroyed pogba

I watched it expecting us to let in 4 or 5 goals , never expected this result

What a strange game, had a bit of everything apart from a fight I think. Manure were poor but we are looking more organised every game. Cant really pick out one of our players over the rest as they all did very well. Ronaldo looking like he was going to cry at the home of world football was a joy to behold. Had a tear in my eye after Pedro scored, I love him.

Utd were atrocious all round, but Matic really stood out as being particularly bad, I mean how many times did he give the ball away to us in dangerous positions? It must have been double figures.

    I'm the prediction king! Lol.

What a performance. Of course all the talk will be about Man Utd being so poor, but we made them poor by taking it to them and being positive and aggressive!! We won't get our credit though, f**k 'em.

    Proud.

Great moment on 60 minutes as well to see applause for Kev Norman.

JP got his first top flight goal and Dennis topped off an incredible performance with a goal at the end.

Our work-rate out of possession was insane and as much as I criticise him, Tom Cleverley was at the heart of it along with Sissoko who is looking like bargain of the season (we can probably boast that King and Dennis are as well).

All of them warriors out there today. Gives us hope.

Firstly apologies to everyone on the shoutbox for almost jinxing things with my slagging off of Van de Beek at Half-Time - guy comes on like a man possessed and within 15 minutes scores a goal and injures Sarr! He ran out of puff soon enough though and thankfully it didn't cost us.

MotM has to go to Dennis - sensational performance today; his pace, his harassing of the opposition, his tricks and close control. Brilliant.

Cleverley wasn't too far behind him today though either - sure he's a bit long in the tooth, but he's often unfairly maligned on here. He worked his nuts off yet again and lots of our chances came from him forcing them in to errors, including the Maguire sending off.

Femenia had an excellent game as well. Sissoko was his usual quality self.

I have to say that Louza showed some good quality on the ball and definitely looked a bit sharper. However, while very good in possession, he still seems a liability out of possession, the kid can't tackle to save his life and even Matic dribbled passed him like he wasn't there in the 4th minute.

Why the heck wasn't King on penalties? He's scored quite a lot for Muff, is the centre forward, and clearly enjoys playing against his old clubs. The silver lining of Sarr's abysmal penalties is that it ultimately wasn't costly us and we should have learned that he should never take any for us ever again. Pleased he got his goal though - he does often make the easy look difficult and the difficult look easy.

There have been quite a few comments and threads recently on here about some of you lot feeling disconnected from our jonny foreigners and thinking them to be too many mercenaries who don't really care. However, the work rate and emotion on show today from lots of our players surely has to put pay to that notion for the time being.

If you really want to see a collection of mercenaries who couldn't give a crap right now then rather check out the opposition. Truly diabolical. That first half from them was embarrassing. What has happened to the form of Shaw and Maguire since the summer? It's very difficult to see any way back for OGS after this, their problem will be picking the right moment to stick the knife in while finding the right replacement.

What a performance that was! Games of death? Nah.

First half it was better than Villa - we were that good. But, I have to start with Sarr. We get a penalty (rightly so), he spoons it, then we get a re-take, and he spoons it again. King needs to be our main penalty taker from now on. He's a centre forward, Sarr is a winger. Makes sense. United were very, very bad especially first half - we dominated the game and when King gave us the lead nobody could really say we didn't deserve it. Nice finish follow up from Sarr's scuff shot. OK, but to be fair to Sarr - he got back in our good books with our second goal, well struck and left De Haea with no chance.

United hardly threatened, and we were well on top of the game. It was ours to throw away. As we are Watford, we never make things easy do we? Poor defending from Masina who let them in for their goal, and then Ronaldo almost evened it, thank god it was offside by a country mile. After that scare, we put our foot down and got a hold of the game. Dennis, and Pedro in injury time? Hold on, we don't score injury time goals, well we did today. Very well deserved - and the scoreline should not flatter us. We battered them all game bar a shakey start to the second half and if Ole keeps his job now, their board are more clueless than ours.

Shout box was brilliant today = thank you to all who took part. Leicester next, it's winnable but you never know with us.

They had some momentum start of second half and made it 2-1, the sending off was most helpful. Don't get me wrong we could've scored more than 2 before then, but the sending off definitely helped us.

Typically Watford to pull out a performance like that.

Was outstanding from start to finish .

Got at them straight away and really look so dangerous.

Pretty comfortable at the back and midfield was impressive.

I was expected a Man U onslaught when they scored but they didn’t create much other than Ronaldo.

In the first half certainly, but in the second half our energy levels did understandably fall away a bit and they started cutting us open quite frequently with Ronaldo and Fernandes both having some good chances to level things.

Initially after the sending off it did look as if we were the man down if anything as we were still so shattered, but eventually we managed to get a hold on the game again and keep the ball.

If not for the sending off a draw seemed likely.

I'm away and listened on 5 Live. "Watford were brilliant", nice to hear. "Watford's game management is excellent", amazing to hear. Claudio must be quite good at his job.

One thing; radio thought Dennis took the first pen, whereas it seems from here that Sarr took both.

Brilliant performance by the boys today. Commitment, desire, 100% effort to a man. So many good performances that it almost seems churlish to pick anyone out.

Dennis was spectacular from start to finish. What a brilliant signing he has been.

Louza was an enormous improvement today. He looked a player who could hold down a place in a Premier League side. If he continues to improve like this he'll be a real asset.

Sarr looked a bit low on confidence before the goal. Hopefully this will get him back on track. I don't agree with the "he doesn't care" angle some people have been taking of late; with luck he should get back to his best now, although probably a good idea to put King on penalties instead!

Kiko was really very good today. An absolute pain in the arse for Man Utd.

Ranieri is clearly doing some great work for us. We look so, so much more organized now and today's offensive performance was a significant step up too. May we continue to improve!

3 points in the middle of a nasty run of fixtures that we absolutely did not see ourselves getting. Wonderful stuff. COYH!

Just say it out loud with me: four-f*cking-one versus Man Utd.
