We arguably have one of the best, if not the best left back in the league and we've shoe horned him into right back to accomodate Sema? Brilliant. Other than that decent line up with our options.
No TDB is odd, Cleverley in a two doesn't usually end well. Okoye isn't even going to make the bench because of this rule of eleven business, brutal stuff for him.
Front 3 is too good for The Championship if they are all motivated. Kamara at right-back isn't good though. Sema, Cleverley and Cathcart not ideal, but should be okay at this level. Okoye not even on the bench?
What I thought - mistake by the programme ? Sarr and Dennis start .. We’ll see how motivated they are I guess! And will they be here after August 31st?
None of our mew signings start. Kamara at right-back isn’t good but we all know it’s very temporary. We will have two specialist right wingbacks to chose from next match. Yes unless he’s injured, no TDB in the squad is harsh as he featured a lot in pre-season. Excited to see Asprilla on the bench. Hope he gets on. Lovely to see Sierralta start. There is a lot of experience in that eleven. Only Kamara and Kayembe are new to the Championship.
Eh. Team I didn't necessarily want, but very much expected. Would prefer some different CB picks, and to see Louza playing with Clevs instead of Kayembe. Feels very much like a "we still have deals to get done" team. When Sarr/Dennis are gone, we could try fit TDB/Asprilla into a spot.
Are we doing it to accommodate Sema? Or because he's currently (annoyingly) our best RWB option, with Gaspar/Laird not ready/on the way and Ngakia judged as hopeless
Bad start for the ‘Sarr doesn’t fit into the system’ crowd. In all seriousness though, that’s a better starting line-up than I thought we’d have when last season ended, that’s for sure. Wouldn’t surprise me at all to see Okoye leave before the window closes though.
Atwell shouldn't be allowed to ref Sunday league football, let alone the Championship. Looks like a good lineup tbf. Midfield looks weak though
Rule of 11, Cleverley being captain and Kayembe never having regularly played at a level even akin to the top of Championship are all fairly key considerations here though….
Let's hope Bachmann hasn't super glued himself to the goal line for the next 90mins. He's a good keeper at this level, but that is one aspect of his game I hope he has been working on.
Don't want Kamara on the right, don't want Kayembe or Sema anywhere. Never looked forward to a season less. Prove me wrong, lads!
The amount of times I've seen Sema dribble the ball out of play on the left, I don't think he'd be any less effective on the right?
