Oh yes, of course. Heard in the pub before an England international: “Bestiality’s best boys”, to the tune of “Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport”.
No no. Football will be fine. Eventually the homophobes and racists will be removed. As will their apologists.
Just reading that tweet again, the bloke says the 'rent boy' chant was the final straw but by that point he'd already reported them twice for "consistently swearing and being a nuisance" Unless i'm misunderstanding the series of events he outlines it seems very unfair to castigate the club/stewards for not taking action before they'd even committed any actionable offence... He then says after they left they spoke with the deputy steward who was "incredibly helpful", so it really doesn't sound like the club did much wrong in terms of addressing his concerns once they were made aware of the specific 'rent boy' chant
Thanks for this and thanks for assuming that I am an "apologist" Those without sin and all that but clearly you are perfect in all ways . Salutations
So, by your exact same logic, is, say, racist chanting fine, because it's an un-sanitised version of a sporting event, that everyone should therefore just accept? Added to that, you seem to imply with your hilarious rugby comparison that people of lower socio-economic status are unable to stop themselves from being abusive and discriminatory?
When is this 2021 racist chanting at Watford ?. You are highlighting something that no longer happens, thankfully. Lower social status? We can all play that game Are you saying that only those who have a lower social status can watch football? And those , as privileged, as yourself, can only enjoy the rugger ?
And I understand the club advise stewards not to kick anyone out unless they really do something unacceptable so maybe the original swearing and shouting was left alone but obviously the further comment was dealt with?
Nicely disingenuous, as expected, but if you are claiming that racist chanting no longer happens in football, then you are a liar, and it doesn't even matter - I asked you by your own logic; the logic that you used to wave away complaints of homophobic chanting, as you laid it out - not whether or not it literally happened at the same time. Similarly, as well you know, I am not saying that - I was responding to the very clear implication of your (again) hilarious joke and roleplay, in which you purposefully chose a sport stereotypically known for being traditionally more popular amongst people of higher socioeconomic status, and highlighted that implication even more strongly by choosing an idiotically stereotypically 'posh' name for your character (of 'Tarquin' - to spell it out for you, and attempt to avoid a further round of disingenuity).
Crockett is about to get into a logic contortion again like the 100% Tom Cleverley debate. Looking forward to reading the rest of this thread in the morning during the commute!
"In football" I never said that did I ? Good try No cigar tho. Anywho the rest of your word salad amuses me
Just because you lack the capacity to understand something, doesn't make it 'word salad', darling - although I can't help but notice that that is a mistake you do have something of a habit of making.
Just seen on twitter the 1881 have said they have sent a DM to the fan who put this up and asked what seat numbers was for the people who they reported.
If you say so, Davy. As long as no one else on this forum can read or use the scroll function, you're golden!
You can always answer the question and avoid everyone having to use the scroll function Just sayin' like .
Got absolutely torn to shreds in the first half, absolutely zero organisation all over the pitch, which considering we had about half the team who have once captained the team is very concerning. Cathcart has been great for us over the years but surely even a half fit Nkoulou is a better option than him, or at least give it a shot in a game like yesterday. Troost turned into the centre half from last year with his very unpredictable passing, Masina got lucky with a few last ditch challenges and I thought on the whole Ngakia did ok without any help from the absolutely inept Sarr. Midfield got overran until Cleverley was bought on, first half when Southampton were attacking, which happened a lot, Ward Prowse dropped in between their defence and midfield allowing their fullbacks to get forward which is why we were battered on the wings, this was noticeable 20 minutes into the game so why it took Ranieri until half time to change it I have no idea. Sissoko was good I thought and Kucka had his best game since Villa but still looked exhausted after 30 seconds, him ending up at right back is an absolute joke though. Pedro was lively and unfortunate to be hooked at half time but he doesn’t work in midfield. King worked hard all afternoon and didn’t really get a sniff at goal from what I remember but it’s so good to have a striker actually move around and try to make something happen rather than expect it to just fall to his feet all game. Cucho shouldn’t have gone off, Ken is a workhorse but nowhere near the standard required for the premiership and did naff all second half. Sarr’s second half performance was an utter embarrassment and an absolute disgrace and he shouldn’t start next week. He’s bereft of confidence at the minute and Ranieri needs to address this. Fletcher should’ve scored, other than that just looks like another Oulare. Still better than Deeney and Gray though. With our run coming up yesterday was a game we needed to at least draw; to come away with nothing is disappointing to say the least. Subs were shocking, organisation nowhere to be seen, only 2 clear chances created, very concerning. At least scum lost.
Fantastic stuff. Maybe the 1881 can tell us all how they gave my seat number to a coked up d*ckhead who's got an infatuation with me for the Cup Final. W*nkers.
