Imagine how shambolic it would be if we somehow ended up in the Premier League again next season. It would be an absolute bloodbath.

The club will be in a more shambolic state if we don't go up.

It's not as if we wouldn't sign anyone if we got promoted.

Such posts are always utterly baffling.

There was a big group of Australians in front of me yesterday near the fron t of the Family Stand. I spoke to them a bit and they were an Aussie Rules team on a tour and had just been to Ireland. They said that we must be mad sitting in cold like that and I said it's very rarely that bad. I also said that it was probably the worst game I'd watched in 32 years of watching Watford. I felt the need to apologise to them.

So much for a month of training and fun in Spain. Carried on exactly where they left off in that shambles of a performance at Bristol City.

The fact that Manaj picks up a salary as a footballer is astounding.

Why are you highlighting that the likes of TDB are shyte and that Asprilla is too raw? That clearly backs up the opinion that our squad is not fit for purpose IMO.

I don't know about this Canadian or this Brazilian wonderkid, but if they've been signed with the same motivations as our other talents, then they will fail. We don't need talented square pegs for round holes. We need functional defenders, a decent goalkeeper, a balanced midfield and a serviceable attack with several ways of scoring.

Instead we have a *********** at the back, a midfield of spare parts and some attackers who should be too good for this level, but don't regularly seem to show it.

Agree with your first point, but our squad is so weak now that even though we’ll obviously sign players it will be hideous, so it’s hardly a baffling concept.

Are they? We signed players last time and got completely battered.

You may not agree with the point made - but it’s hardly ‘utterly baffling’.

I was reliably informed last season that The Championship is much more fun than the Premier League. I've probably seen one or two decent games of football this season which sums up this league. The only reason it's exciting is because anybody can beat anybody, the actual standard is woeful. Give me the Premier League every day of the week

Isn't the point simply that the quality gap is wide and ever widening? At least that's how I read it. Sure, we'd sign loads of players if we went up, just as we have done the last two times under Pozzo. But there have to be questions about whether he has deep enough pockets to recreate the summer of 2015 again given the complete bunch of duds brought in for our last tilt at staying up.

I'd hope our recruitment would be decent considering the scouts we brought in. And we managed to recruit well enough in our first Pozzo promotion.

I don't understand how anyone would rather watch us struggle in the PL against the likes of Spurs, then a typical Champ season when we still often struggle against the likes of Rotherham!

As per my point above, the new scouts brought in suggest we might be more ambitious next time.

Our second promotion recruitment two years ago was truly bargain basement and it showed. 2 of the 3 promoted clubs are also doing surprisingly well in the PL this time round, albeit they were the ones who got automatic promotion.

I'm bewildered that 'working hard' and 'effort' has been mentioned positively from yesterday.

You only had to look at them wandering about or standing still. I would love to see the distances covered by players from both teams yesterday and compare them with any random world Cup match.

Look at those lazy 40 yard blasters into row Z. Why not? Have a little pop. Your teamates and your whole country would call you every colour of a kant if you did that in the WC.

That is the league table as a whole, this is Hull's recent away results before they visited us. Not bad.

    Cardiff 2 Hull 3
    Millwall 0 Hull 0
    Rotherham 2 Hull 4
    Blackpool 1 Hull 3

Only point of getting promotion this season is to continue our transformation into Norwich 2.0 (aka the yo-yo club). Why? Money. Why? Because the last three/four years of balancing the books have been as sucessful as Success was in front of goal. I cannot see us making any major signings - that would cost additional money. If we did sign anyone it would again be the lower end of the market and freebies/loans. Going on a massive spending spree just to get kicked about for 38 games with the odd good/lucky win mixed in is not fun. Yes - this season hasn't exactly been all sunshine and the absolute state of our unbalanced squad with an entire midfield missing and more injuries than I can count on two hands is beyond funny now. I do like the fact we have begun to make strides to better ourselves, with a new Sporting Director and Kone' looks a great buy. Hopefully some of the other rumored "done" deals come through - and we could finish this season strongly. Each time we go up the debt should begin to shrink as a certain percentage of the prize funds needs to be put to one side to chip away at it.

I do not know the actual amount of our debt of course, but it's a lot bigger than Duxbury would have us believe. If we don't go up this season, we have one more realistic chance next season but that will be it for Parachute payments after that. If we are still a Championship club at the beginning of the 24/25 season - with little to no progress on the financial front I really do not know what would happen. It's pretty scary and I hope the people running our club either sell up and move on if they have no clue what to do, or we get really lucky and find a new buyer who breathes a bit of life back into the club.

Enjoyed the renewed purpose injected into our injury crisis, and the blunt dimwitted lethargy of our attack. As others have said, freshly confirming the evidence from earlier in the season, Hungbo is dire - nowhere near this level technically or in terms of game intelligence.

The Sarr mystery round 47 is baffling. With Bilic coming out sayig he had no idea where he was afterwards, we look ridiculous. I'll never understand each individual aspect of the way we deal with him. The chunterer on Andrew French's Twitter last night claiming it happens all the time and is a 'non-story' is so infected by cope he may only have seconds to live.

But it is not the whole point, though. Hull have improved a lot since their new coach took over. I think that's their fifth consecutive away game without defeat. Their away record is much better than their home one. They came for a point (and tried to hit us on the break) and got it, with plenty of time-wasting, flow- destroying behaviour from minute one. It's the old argument about mis-used stats; you might have had a stronger argument if this was before they sacked the previous coach.

Mind you, it was not an impressive performance. 0 - 0 draws are seldom good to watch and this one was about middling - there were some chances both ends.
I do wish referees would add appropriate amounts of time on (or yellow card miscreants) for the patent time-wasting and play-acted injuries.

I honestly can't think of many worse 0-0 games I've seen. In the 90+ minutes, there were a total of about 4.6 seconds of mild and fleeting semi-excitement. Our gallant number nine doing such a massive swing 'n' a miss, and this moments after coming on as a sub, that he pulled his hamstring was the comedy tin lid on it.

Absolutely grim. If I'd paid money to watch that I'd feel robbed. As it is, I'm fed up about the time wasted even watching it....Boooooooooooo!

I’m sure it’s already been said

    it was freezing

Hull were abysmal really , really bad, I knew I was in for a special match when with 15 mins played (of which the ball was only in play for 5 mins) they started time wasting.

We looked alright at the back , but nothing up top , had a period of 15 mins that seemed all right just after the break, but just didn’t seem to want to push forward. At one point we had 10 people in their half but no one seemed interested in going anywhere near the box.

the ref seemed strangely oblivious to the time waisting and the outrages tackling (that seemed more like an attempt at starting a bout of Greco-roman wrestling than playing a football game).

The only one with any real credit was Cathcart. He spent the last 15 minutes gesturing to the rest of the team to get it forward. Then again, with utter crap like Manaj and "I'm cold and can't be bothered" Davis up top, why bother?

That also conveniently ignores the fact we had over £100m of revenue last season, and about £700m-£1bn over the previous 5 the season before last.

To get Autos now we need about 2.5 points per game, if we can’t beat 20th placed Hull at home, who exactly are you targeting for the points?

It’s great Hull are in some sort of form and have a new manager, but at some point the excuses for every poor performance need to stop, unless of course we simply accept we’re a fairly average side that isn’t getting promoted this season, then they start to make a lot more sense.

I honestly thought long and hard about renewing my ST after last season, The owners not investing in the right players, Dodgy agents, unlikable players, Woy, poor/non-existant tactics, and lack of giving a toss!!!
I did renew, but this season isn't much better, still a lot of the same old donkeys, dodgy dealings, long term sicknotes, and some players that don't look as if they want to be here.
