I don't mind how seriously you take my opinion. It's my opinion, warts and all. With your photographic memory, it's easy for you to recall what everyone says on these boards in the past. That's your advantage and I envy your special abilities. With Steve Bruce I think at the time he would have been a good choice. I have no problem with saying that. It was my opinion, in the context of when it was given. I wouldn't suggest him now though, as time has moved on.

With everything there are nuances. Xisco had a much better team to work with. We had some leaders in the pack too. I personally think it was the senior players that basically got together and said "bloody hell lads, let's sort this sh1t out" or words to that effect. I think Edwards is a much better coach than Xisco. But Munoz just set the right tone and the players liked the environment, but basically sorted themselves out.

......and by being experienced, doesn't mean employing retired managers. I wouldn't say we should go for Terry Venables or Ron Atkinson. You need some common sense.

Some of the choices the board have made have been wild and ill-thought out. Only really Xisco paid off, and that was probably the most leftfield of the lot. I guess, if you gamble often enough you will occasionally win.
