He's one of the worst players I've ever seen for us. Staying on his feet seems to be a challenge most of the time.
He is not one of the worst players technically but as a striker, at Championship level, he is in the top 1 for sure .

Simply unbelievable. Watched the match with loads of different people yesterday who support different clubs. They all said the same thing. Hopeless. Very rarely challenges for the ball with any heart or belief of winning it. Little to no movement in the box. Weak. Most said the Oxford Striker from Spurs showed what a forward should do by throwing himself about and causing our defenders problems with any ball in his vicinity. Couldn't argue any of that.
On the plus side is that his recent goals and call up will help his dubious transfer to fly under the radar a little.
Movement in the box was excellent for both the goal and the chance he missed that the keeper saved with his feet. Both times he checked back as the defenders were running alongside him towards their own goal to create a pocket of space around the penalty spot that allowed him to get a shot off. Also timed a run perfectly for the first half chance that was incorrectly called offside. Three great bits of movement, leading to three big chances - granted, he hit one over the bar and two straight at the keeper but seems a weird thing to dig him out on from Friday's game.
As Rous said, he was a pure poacher when we signed him (albeit, not very good at finishing the chances he got!), then last season he morphed into a poor man’s Roberto Firmino, pressing from the front but not getting too many chances for himself, now he seems to be doing a bit of both. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think he’ll ever be especially prolific (he’s still marginally down on his xG for this season despite scoring 4 at Sheffield Wednesday from 2.48 xG), but if he can keep getting into the right areas like on Friday, he’ll get his share
I was simply stating what they said. I've witnessed his inability for far too long and know his exact capabilities and mine are based on mote than one match.
Your friends must have high expectations then if they expect a Championship forward to get himself into excellent positions and get shots away more than three times a game!
This is Giorgi all over. 'Jumps' for headers without even looking at the ball. He does it every game and was pulled up by the ref for it a few times at Leeds. Bags of talent but no heart.
Really good goal , his first touch took the ball in front of the defender , was strong enough to hold off the challenge and a neat finish, a good strikers goal so he appears to have it in his locker. But I cannot remember Vakoun doing anything similar for us tho .....
Agreed . But he still had to hold off that clumsy lump and finish . Can't believe that I'm fighting Bayo's corner by the way !
According to FotMob, two of the centre backs and goalkeeper for Chad don't have a club and the other one plays for a team 7th in the South African Premier League
As much hate as he (sometimes rightly) gets, he has proven in moments to be a goal scorer. That beautiful chip goal he did at Sheff Wed was one of his best I've seen, it was almost as good as Sarr's goal against Liverpool in that famous 3-0 win. He is getting better, and works hard off the ball to draw defenders out, but he needs to be much more consistent. This is his final season with us as we all know, and Jebbison will be gone as well in the Summer (if not before), so it will be interesting to see if he can finish his time at Watford as a better player.
Unless I’ve missed anybody out (for which I apologise in advance), I think Bayo can tomorrow become the 7th Watford player to score at least 20 league goals during the Pozzo era. Anybody bored at work might like to name the other six, and/or correct me if I’ve made a mistake.
Ahhh thanks. I was nervous I might have missed somebody. FF scored exactly 20. So it’s 7 players, not 6 and still one more to find!
