How is that a yellow for Penaranda? It was shoulder to shoulder, and certainly not a penalty, but never a yellow card.
Doucoure misses an absolute sitter. Open goal absolutely skied into the heavens. Ten minutes to hold on.
Quique's Watford has probably lowered my standards... I thought the play was good, and it was quick and open. I would have a heart attack if Watford were as poor as Granada defensively, but they showed some very good skill in attacking positions. I enjoyed it.
Enormous win, they'd probably have been relegated with even a draw tonight Still may not be enough, Getafe and Gijon both have at least 1 vey winnable game remaining.... Granada have Sevilla and Barca so may very well not get another point
Brilliant turn around from Granada. One of these years they might actually stay up by more than the skin of their teeth! (Assuming this does keep them up!)
Gatafe and Gijon play each other next week and Granada have a better head to head than both ... but you're right, it's squeaky bum time http://www.worldfootball.net/table_calculator/esp-primera-division/
Still thinking Granada will relegate this year. I think we will have a 0/6, Rayo will win last game and Sporting can still win at least 1 of their 2 games, specially the Getafe one.
Scores not great for Udinese atm, Palermo winning 1-0 and Frosinone 2-0 up against AC Milan. Carpi lost earlier at least
Last minute AC Milan goal means Frosinone only draw so they can't catch Udinese. Last game for Udinese is against Carpi and Palermo play bottom of the table that weekend. A win in Udinese's next game and anything less than 3 points from both Palermo and Carpi and Udinese are safe
How the hell can Espanyol beat Seville? ... one less to save Granada from relegation but I'm guessing they can draw hope for next week.
There is a very real chance Granada and Udinese could go down. If it happens I can't imagine their fans will be particularly happy with us.
Given the fixtures I wouldn't really consider it that slim. Palermo have Fiorentina who have won 1 of their last 11, and Verona at home who are comfortably the worst team in the league, 4 points would take them above Udinese. Carpi have a home game with Lazio, followed by a match against Udinese on the last day. If Udinese lose at Atalanta which is highly possible given their season, a loss to Carpi on the last day could easily take them down. As for Granada, i'd love to be wrong but I just can't see how they get out of it this time with those fixtures.
Big chance for Granada - Sevilla have named a large number of players from their B team in the squad for Sunday's game. Hopefully Granada can take advantage, the teams around them must be livid!
Huge game for Udinese today against Atalanta. A win and either Carpi/Palermo not winning would see them safe.
Wonder how Diamanti feels he was treated by the Pozzos? He's starting for Atalanta and could help send Udinese towards relegation.
