Think you'll find we had multiple overweight players who could barely move about the pitch and offered almost no goal threat, actually.
Troys absolutely passed it in regards to playing. However, in terms of leadership, personality heart and backbone we haven't got anything even close to him. I think my nephews under 10's team have more fight and backbone than our current squad.
Certainly well past it as a player but we definitely miss someone like him who is fully committed to Watford and not just passing through like a tourist. The problem is we couldn’t have kept him around a cheerleader, as he probably would’ve been a more disruptive influence rather than a positive one, because he would’ve wanted and expected to have played. This issue is in our recruitment and not identifying more players with his character, and selling every new signing their next move as a reason to sign.
Would rather lie under a glass table and watch hornetboy1 curl off a steaming great terd than watch that.
I've just finished reading his autobiography. I very much doubt the documentary will shed any new light on anything else about him. Still, it's another tick for him personally to getting his beloved media/pundit career.
But the documentary wasn't really about Troy. It was about getting BAME histories to be included on the curriculum in UK schools.
Though we did miss his "leadership" skills in constantly pointing at other teammates to try and deflect from his own fucc-ups.
Actually it's not half bad. It's pretty honest, and goes into a lot of detail about his time at Walsall, his prison time and family life. Obviously a fair chunk is Watford FC related but I would say it's def. worth a read.
Wooah Troy was on the bbc newscast pod last night plugging away his prog (obvs) but at the end the presenter asked him if he would return to wfc as coach. And he said yes in 3 yrs!! Any bodyv listen? The presenter said he was asking for a mate who supports us. Any1 on here...?
I've recorded the documentary. It's been sitting on my Sky Q box since broadcast. Is it worth a watch? Either from a WFC or issues raised point of view?
